Zayn's POV
I sat down on my bed looking out my window at the small fire I just set in my yard. I smiled watching it dance and twirl before slowly fading away into the now burnt grass. The smell of burning sticks flew through my window, along with microscopic ashes. I picked up a half empty bottle of beer chugging down the rest of it and sighing. My head spun a bit before going back to its peaceful state. School is over soon so my sandwich is probably coming out in... I looked at the clock on my dresser. Now. Cool.
I got up putting on a pair of black jeans, a red T-shirt, and a black and red flannel around my waist. Humph... See? I am fashionable. I looked in the mirror and fluffed my bed head hair style. Sexy as fuck.
"Zayn!" I heard a small voice say through my window. I looked over and saw my friend Skylar peering in the screen.
"Hey Sky. I'm sorry I drank the rest of your beer."
She smiled holding up two new bottles. "I figured. Where you going? Picking up your boyfriend!?" She teased smiling ear to ear.
"Not my boyfriend you know that. But yeah, wanna come? I'm sure he won't mind."
"Since when do you care whether or not he minds me or any one coming with you to pick him up?"
"You said coming..." I smirked and she rolled her eyes.
"Can you co- get... Out here now? I don't want to just talk to you through a window." I nodded shoving my wallet into my pocket along with my lighter, my emergency lighter, and my matches. Issue? No.. I don't see an issue with carrying dozens of ways of setting a fire everywhere I go... I tip toed past my mistake of a mother who was passed out with a billion needles surrounding her. Sometimes I wish I could set her on fire...
Sky was waiting by the side door. I opened the door slowly and walked out, closing it so it didn't make noise. We strolled down my drive way silently until we got to the side walk.
"Panties and gental-dick, the best escape by Zayn Shawn!" Sky said mimicking a crowd with soft and raspy ahh's.
"Eh, I've done better." I poked my tongue out at her. She chuckled and plucked one of the chains that were hanging from my pants.
"Always such a punk... Its cute." She smiled at the ground. I awkwardly punched her arm lightly fake laughing.
"You don't have to be phony, Zayn. I know you like boys." She hugged my tightly. I rolled my eyes.
"You're too young. That's all..." I smiled at the slightly smaller girl beside me.
The rest of our walk to school consisted of small talk and jokes that were only funny because I was drunk. Once I saw the familiar, brick, three story building, I grabbed her hand walking faster so I don't miss him.
"Chris! Come here!" I yelled over the noise of my peers going home. I saw blue tips floating a little higher than all the other tufts of hair. That's him.
I turned around and my hands was still attached to Sky's hand. When I looked back Chris was smiling really close to me.
"Hi there." He poked my chains in awe.
"You too? Wow these chains are a real chick magnet huh..." He raised an eyebrow and looked at the 15 year old clinging to my hand for dear life. He nodded approvingly and I rolled my eyes.
I pushed through the crowd; Christian and Skylar were following in the small path I made for them.
As soon as we were alone on the block I pulled out my lighter. A smile arose on my face as Chris shook his head, not approving of my idea. Sky stared at the object with wide eyes.
