[ dead inside;; wake me up hello update ]
I don't like parties.Well, obviously this had to be an exception since it was a celebration for my coronation, but nonetheless. I was having fun to say the least, just watching Anna attempting to dance with her eccentric partner was enough for a night.
Unexpectedly, I did not hold a grudge in these short-lived moments. It was at this time when I do enjoy people's company. Besides, it was comforting for a change in this quiet castle of ours.
'But still, this will end soon.'
I sigh warily, tucking a few unwanted strands behind my ear as I look up. However, I wasn't surprised to the bold color of the ballroom's ceiling, nor was I too ecstatic about it either. I've always been easily distracted by the simplest of things, a glass of clear water, a wall, even maybe a ceiling like of the moment.
I chuckle a bit too sarcastically of my taste, forcing my eyes to meet the exquisite ballroom dancing being portrayed in front of me.
But, unfortunately, all I see are a pair of electric blue irises staring back at me.
I let out a squeak, my hands unconsciously moving to a defensive position, my eyes alert, and my pounding heart not making it any more easier for me. A few eyes linger in confusion and concern, my breath heaves to a moderate speed whilst I try to remain calm and collected.
"Your majesty, are you in need of assistance?" A maid shyly approached me, her arms tucked tightly behind her back.
I shake my head, "It is fine, I just thought I saw something-" I look at the blurred figure in suspicion.
"Strange." I said, the maid dismissing herself in a friendly manner. Letting out a deep sigh, I look at the figure once more, my tongue twisting in focus as I babbled possible names to enlighten myself of the stranger.
"Missed me?" The voice seemed to smirk inwardly, I cock my head to the side when my eyes peer closer, inevitably trying to focus on the image before her figure.
"Who?" My voice trails to a steady breath, my eyes widening to the familiar flock of white hair. Teeth clenching, I was more of enraged than I was ecstatic to see him.
"Jack." I pushed myself to curve the edges of my lips to a tight grin, though my eyes have the exact opposite of happy. Never the less, he chuckled, as if he wasn't going to buy my little act.
"Listen, I know that you're angry-" He paused, a cue for me to sigh sarcastically to his deadly obvious observation. Rolling my eyes, I cross my arms and arched a brow to him.
"But, I was busy." He finishes, a hefty laugh broodingly escaping my lips, but the music was too loud for anyone to notice my distorted composure.
"Busy? Busy for how many years, exactly?" I spoke too bitterly of my liking, though I did not think twice of how my voice dropped a couple of octaves. He glanced at me, swallowing a lump in his throat before he parted his lips to explain himself.
