1. "I Hate You, I Love You"
You call me up, it's like a broken record
You are a handful of roses, thorns in a cheap bouquet
And I'd give up forever to touch you
Hey there, Delilah what's it like in New York City?
Come on, skinny love just last the year
Lost and empty pillow talk again
I've got a house in the back of my head
Never had much faith in love or miracles
Mayday situation overload
I believe submarines underneath the deep blue sea
Sometimes I hate every single stupid word you say2. "When We Met"
It feels like the perfect night to dress up like hipsters
He woke up from dreamin' and put on his shoes
I was left to my own devices
My heart's a stereo
Steal my heart and hold my tongue
Come up to meet you
When you try your best but don't suceed
Annabelle you think you're so damn special
Let me know that I've done wrong
I'm waking up to ash and dust
We were both young when I first saw you
On a winter Sunday3. "Homeless in the City"
I walk a lonely road
Here comes the sun
Lazy lover, find a place for me again
I've been living with a shadow overhead
Switch on the sky and the stars glow for you
Oh I miss the comfort of this house
Look at the stars
He is sensible and so incredible
His head was a city of paper buildings
I've got my ticket for the long way round
Have you ever thought about what protects our hearts?--
a/n: I dunno if these count as "poems" but I felt like posting them because... YOLO. Just kidding. :P Anyway, I did this iPod Shuffle challenge on Tumblr where you had to put your iPod/phone/mp3 on shuffle and write down the first line of the songs as they come up. It probably won't make sense, but you might be surprised with what comes out! Try it! They are really fun! (Wow, I just sounded like a salesman there. Anywho.)
P.S. You don't have to name them, I just named them for fun. And yes, I know they're pretty corny.
