It was around a week into the visit to Brazil, and the group was loving it. They already did a few interviews, performed at a small stage near the ocean and visited some of the tourist places. Especially the iconic Christ statue atop a mountain in Rio de Janeiro. But Avi had felt something missing in this vacation. He knew that there were more places that he would gladly visit, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something or someone was missing.

Kevin and Avi had just gotten back from a short interview by a local news station. They had been bombarded with interviews all day and Avi may had been lying when he said he'd sit through all those interviews. It really was wearing him down. The heat wasn't helping much either. He's supposed to be on vacation, but he's still working!

Avi huffed out a sigh as soon as he sat down on the couch in his hotel room. Kevin had already split with Avi to his own hotel room to practice and write music. The trio went out to a club and surely won't be back until tomorrow. Which meant Avi was going to be alone for a while.

Avi could work on his song writing skills or even his overtone singing but he didn't feel like working anymore that day. He didn't even want to see the recommended tourist places because it'd be filled with people, and Avi didn't want to go through that. It'd be simply too hot for Avi to do anything like that. All he wanted to do was see the stars and be less hot. That's what he wanted and needed, at the moment.

It was around 5:30 PM (17:30) when he looked to the clock. He was all sticky from sweating all day and he was still too hot. So he jumped into the shower and put it on cold until he couldn't bear it anymore. He got dressed into a pair of gym shorts of which he wouldn't wear in any other situation, and a black tank top that Scott bought him last year. Avi didn't think he'd actually wear it but he's glad he brought it with him.

Avi still felt irritable. His hotel room felt too stuffy and there was a bee's nest living around his balcony so he couldn't get some air there. He walked over to the refrigerator for a water to find that he was out. He let out an exasperated sigh. He could call the front desk for them to bring up more water but he didn't feel like doing that.

Avi figured that this was a good excuse to leave his hotel room. It was logical. He needed water so he could go to the store to get some, even though he could just ask the front desk. But that seemed too troublesome to him.

Avi placed his wallet, his phone, and card-key into his pockets before covering his wet hair with his baseball cap and left the stuffy condo, down the elevator, past the front desk and out the rotating doors.

He texted the rest of his group members that he was leaving to the store and wouldn't be back until late. As Avi walked down a major cross section, he heard his phone make the usual ding it does when he received a text. He checked the text and found it was Kevin.

(A/N Avi jokes around with Kevin calling him Devon).

Devon: Wtf why are you going alone? Do you even know where you're going?

Avi: You're one to talk, Devon. I'll be fine. I just wanted to get away from the hotel room. You know?

Devon: I only got lost that one time. But I understand. Just don't get hurt. Seriously, Avi. Be careful

Avi: ok mom. I promise I won't show up in the news tomorrow morning

Avi locked his phone and put it back into his pocket. It didn't really bother Avi that he didn't didn't know where he was going and that the sun was setting in the East. It would be dark in the next few minutes. But Avi didn't care. He needed to be out on his own. Not with a tour guide or with his friends. He just needed some alone time in the place he had always wanted to visit.
