"So Stella, how have you been doing?"I am at my therapist office.
"Still kinda down. But I got on some new medicine and I had a great time at a church retreat."
"What new medicine are you on? I am glad your church retreat went good."
"I am on Cymbalta." Mrs. Maggie writers that down.
"Have you been using your coping skills?" She asks and I nod yes.
"Great well I will see you next week."
"Okay."
I walk out of the office and go get in my car.
I jam to some of Hillsong Young and Free's music on my way home.
"Hey ;)" Jason texts me once I get home.
"Hey ;)" I answer back.
"Soooo how has your day been?" He asks me.
"Pretty good. Yours?"
"Wonderful!"
"Why are you smile like that?" Kate burst into my room.
"None of your business!" I throw a pillow at me, she runs away laughing.
"Great!" I text back to Jason.
"So would you like to go to the movies with me tonight? ;)"
"MOM!" I call out.
"Yes sweetheart."
"Can I go to the movies with Jason tonight?"
"Sure!"
"Yes ;)" I text back.
"Great ;) I will pick you up at 5."
YAY! Oh crap, what am I going to wear?"
"Megan?"
"Yes." Megan answers back on the phone.
"You need to come over and help me look good for a date, well I think it's a date, with Jason tonight."
"Be there in ten."
***
"Ohh girl!" Megan beams as she starts looking through my closet.
After an hour later I am ready. I am wearing a red sweater dress that shows off my curves, black legging underneath, and black high heel boots. Megan also curls my straight coffee brown hair and does my makeup. My makeup highlights me. She makes sure not to cover up my freckles. Megan thinks my freckles are the cutest. I disagree, but my makeup does look good.
"So, how do I look?" I ask her.
"Beautiful. My work here is done." She smiles at me.
"Ring!" Went the door bell so Megan leaves and I race to open the door.
Jason is standing there in jeans, a collared blue shirt, and with flowers in his hands.
"Here you go." He hands me the flowers.
"Thank you, they are beautiful. Come in." I show him the inside of my house.
"Hi Jason!!" My mom greets him and they shake hands. I can't stop smiling.
"It's so nice to meet you." Mom smiles.
"The pressure is all mine." Jason smiles back.
Mom smiles at him then dad hands his hand.
"Okay well we need to go." I add.
"Bye sweetie have fun!" Mom calls out while we leave.
"You look beautiful." Jason smiles at me.
"Thank you."
We drive away and I can't stop looking at him. He is so handsome with his: shaggy brown hair, bright green eyes, and dimples on his cheeks. He is tall and bigger built but they are muscles. He's perfect.
"So what movie are we seeing?" I ask.
"God's not dead two if you don't mine."
"That sounds amazing." I lean back and just enjoy his company.
"We would like two large Dr. Peppers and a large popcorn please." Jason says to the guy with snack. I reach into my purse to pay but Jason hands my hand and says:
"Nope I am paying."
"But-" I begin but Jason cuts me off and says: "No girl of mine buys her own stuff."
Did he just call me his girl? AWW!
We enter the movie theater with our snack and sit down in the middle row.
The movie is awesome and about half way through Jason reaches over to me and grabs my hand. For the rest of the movie, we sit in silence, and hold hands.
"I had a great time." Jason adds after the movies while he walks me back to my front door.
"Me to." Jason leans over to me, gives me a quick kiss on the cheek, and leave.
"Wait." I call out to him. So I run over to him and give him a proper kiss.
After that, I get ready for bed and sleep with him on my mind.
