** One week later **

I was excited to be leaving. I was actually packed for 2 weeks. I mean, I might as well stay there for the rest of the time with Connor and his family. There is no reason for me to leave without him.

Last night, I went out with my girls. Rosie thought that it would be a great idea to have one last night out as "single" girls together. I think it's silly of them to say "single" because honestly single is the last thing we are. We've all got boyfriends. They funny thing about Rosie and Marianne though is that they're dating twins. And no, they don't confuse them, because they aren't identical twins, they're fraternal twins. I think they're sweet together. And both of them seem very much in love. They've only been dating for about 2 to 3 years. Marianne a couple months longer than Rosie.

I know they cannot wait for the wedding. Like I said, I've already got it all planned out. Marianne and I are a lot closer than Rosie and I, so naturally Marianne will be my maid of honor while Rosie will be the other brides maid as well as Connors two sisters. And I've decided to leave it at that because I didn't want a big court. Anyway, before I get carried away with the wedding details, I've got to hop onto my plane and get engaged first.

'I love you Connor, and now I'm going to show you that.' She thought to herself.

I'm so excited. I thought about it. I think I've got nothing to lose here.  I'm madly in love with this man. I made sure I had everything I needed before walking over to the doors of the airport. I said my goodbyes to everyone and went off into the direction of flights leaving to London.

LAX is so big and confusing that if you don't pay attention to the signs you will end up lost. There were far too many people here for my liking. I was so unsure why that is. Why are there so many people traveling at this very moment? It just made no sense.

I finally reached my waiting area, after going through bag check of course. I don't like that they make us take our shoes off and put them into the small trays. It's not like they've got anything to worry about with me. I wouldn't hide anything in my shoes, because they would only end up damaging them; and well, I'm not too fond of damaging my $500 shoes. Anyway, the tray was dirty and I asked them for a new one. They weren't too fond of me telling them to give me another. I'm almost certain they thought I was planning an attack because they took an extra long time checking my items.

I finally got my things back and was now sitting at the seats waiting for my flight. I had been waiting three hours already, only to find out that the flight was going to be delayed. This delay had lasted another three hours. I was glad to finally hear that we would be boarding.

We were on board to London. I was one of the first to board because of my "status" I don't know. The point is that I was glad to be on the plane and finally leaving. I took a well deserved nap on the way there. I had been exhausted from only just sitting in the waiting area. I had a nice meal as well.

We landed in London. And seeing as though our flight had been delayed I didn't have to wait long before boarding the next one. I had been saved a good couple of hours but I wouldn't be boarding for another five hours so I decided to go outside for a while and take a walk. I went and got some food as well.

When I arrived back at the airport I noticed that the flight was going to be boarding in about thirty minutes. I was glad that the wait wasn't extremely long.

"Now boarding flight 130 to Dublin."

I grabbed my things and quickly made my way to the flight attendants. They immediately scanned my boarding pass and allowed me to board the plane. I got settled in and began preparing myself for the flight. I couldn't believe that I was going to be in Dublin by the end of the day. I can't wait to see Connor's face when he sees me.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten Seat Belt sign. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. Also, please make sure your seat is back and folding trays are in their full upright position.

At this time, we request that all mobile devices, including cell phones, laptops, radios, and other electronics be turned off for the full duration of the flight, as these items might interfere with the navigational and communication equipment on this aircraft.

We remind you that this is a non-smoking flight. Smoking is prohibited on the entire aircraft, including the lavatories.

If you have any questions about our flight today, please don't hesitate to ask one of our flight attendants. Thank you."

"Oh hello, how are you?" I spoke as a nun sat down beside me.

"Hello darling. I'm well thank you. How are you? Are traveling on pleasure, or business?" She said.

"I'm great thank you. I'm traveling on pleasure."

"Well you're a long way from home, aren't you?"

"Yes, I'm an ocean away from home. But you see I'm on my way, to Ireland to propose to my boyfriend on Leap Day. It's an old Irish tradition, and an old family tradition, so I've been told. So naturally, here I am." I spoke excitedly.

"Oh really? That's so nice. Romantic even. Congratulations and may God see many years of happiness together for you two." She said in her heavy British accent.

"Why thank you. You know my boyfriend, Connor, he's already in Ireland. He's in Dublin with his family for a family reunion. He was supposed to be home weeks ago, but sadly, his stay was extended so I decided to give him a surprise. We've been together for 8 years and..."

After a couple of minutes, I didn't hear her respond any longer. I looked over and noticed that she was sleeping. I couldn't believe that I made her go to sleep.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we ask you that you please head over to your seats and fasten your seat belts, we are about to experience a bit of turbulence."

I was already in my seat so all that I did was check my seat belt and tighten it. I know that a bit of turbulence isn't bad at all, but to tell you the truth, sometimes, it just scares the living shit out of me.

The plane then suddenly began shaking uncontrollably; it was almost as if an earthquake had struck it. Everyone began to panic, including me.

"I'm not going to die. I can't die yet. I'm getting engaged! I'm getting engaged. I'm not going to die before I get engaged! This is not happening,"

"Ladies and gentlemen, it seems as though we've underestimated the turbulence and the storm ahead. We will not be making it to Dublin today; instead, we will be landing in Wales. Once we've landed, the airport officials will gladly help you onto the next available flight to get you to where you need to be. Thank you and good luck."

Good luck? I don't need luck. I'll get myself to where I need to be without any luck!
