I had already eaten dinner that night at work, and I was pretty tired. Jake was sat on the sofa having a cigarette. I sat on the floor, my head and back leaned against the sofa. Jake had his free hand running through my hair, which I had brushed out of the messy bun. Geordie Shore was playing on the TV.

"Holly is so hot." Muttered Jake, as he exhaled his cigarette. I rolled my eyes. I loved Geordie Shore, but all the girls were a bit... Well, they're all make-up and big hair and that. Like me, I guess, but I wasn't half as gobby. That's what made this reality TV show entertaining.

Holly was the Geordie with massive bright red hair that came to her butt with extensions, and her breasts were huge. No wonder why all the boys liked her. I sighed. "Yeah, she's great." I said, sarcastically.

Jake smirked, and I ignored him, and continued watching the show. Jake finished his cigarette, and stuck the end in the ash trey on the floor next to me. He put his hands on my shoulders and began to rub them slowly. Every girl wants a good massage. but no, I don't like them that much.

I put my hands on his hands, and tried to make him take the hint by pushing them away. He just kept putting his hands there. "Take a hint." I said, like it was obvious, scrunching my face.

"God, I can't even touch your shoulders without you yelling at me." He chuckled.

I raised an eyebrow, rolling my eyes, and tried to focus them on the TV, but I just couldn't. The feeling of him being there was unsettling. "It's not that... It's just-"

"I don't fucking care, just leave it." He said, bluntly, and grabbed a can of beer from the coffee table and cranked it open. He guzzled it, commenting every so often about the girls on Geordie Shore. It was sickening. Annoying. So, I did what I should. I grabbed the remote from next to me and turned off the TV.

I sighed as he groaned. "What was that for? Am I not allowed to find other girls attractive?"

Turning round to face him, I nodded. "Yeah... But you don't have to say it every two seconds. It doesn't make me feel very... Good about myself when you're saying I should have tits like Holly and lips like Charlotte." I complained just stating a fact.

Jake looked at me, confused. "You're being such a bitch, Dani." He slammed his beer can on the coffee table. I shuddered, startled, and he chuckled sarcastically. "Like you weren't expecting it."

Honestly, I was.

"You hate me." I said simply. I looked right at Jake as I said it.

His eyes filled with something I couldn't quite understand. Confusion? Laughter? He shook his head. "I don't hate you, baby girl." He opened up his arms, and I sighed, then scrambled off the floor and he pulled me up so I was sat on his lap, like a girl on Santas knee. He ran a finger along my lips. "I love you. You know I do."

I shook my head. "Do you really?"

He put his lips gently to mine for a second. "Yeah, more than anyone in this world." Everything coming out of his mouth was lies. I knew it was, I just couldn't tell myself that enough times to believe it.

"Right." Was all I could say. "I'm going bed. It's late, nearly one in the morning" I jumped off his lap. "I'll see you in a bit." I said, as I walked out the door. I made my way upstairs, and changed quickly into my other pair of Hello Kitty pajamas. I took my make-up off and got into bed, pulling the duvet up to my neck.

I left the light on for when Jake came up, and my phone was on the bedside table next to me. My phone started bleeping, and I grabbed it from the table, and flickered in the passcode before going onto my messages. had a message from Sonny, asking if I wanted to meet up with him tomorrow. I had no classes tomorrow, so told him I would.

I suggested the park, and he told me to meet him there at twelve. I grinned, and we carried on texting about random rubbish like we always did. We talked about the bitches of the school, how annoying the cheerleaders were. even if i was one myself, and then spoke about how tomorrow we would do our ice cream trick.

Soony then sent me a text saying he was secretly a girl. I laughed out loud, just as Jake came upstairs and walked through the door. "What's so funny?" He asked, suspiciously.

I pressed the lock button on my phone and popped it back on the bedside table. I was laying down in bed, and propped the pillow up against the headboard, and smiled innocently. "Nothing."

"Obviously something is funny or you wouldn't laugh?" He said, like I was the dumbest person alive, and marched over to me. "What are you hiding?" He questioned, picking up my phone, and staring at me with cold eyes.

Why was he over reacting? It was the type of person he was. I couldn't even laugh without being accused of two murders a rape theft vandalism and racism... Or maybe not that far. "Nothing! Give me my phone, Jake!" I protested, reaching up to grab it, but he held it higher.

"Not until you tell me..." He unlocked my phone, as he knew the passcode to it. I wasn't allowed any privacy in this place. He went onto my messages, and clicked on the ones from Sonny, and rolled his eyes. "This fucking boy." He scrolled up the texts. "What kind of crap do you two talk about?" He practically yelled. Then he laughed. "You are not meeting him tomorrow, fuck that."

"You're not my dad, I can do what I want." I demanded, trying to grab the phone again, but he palmed my face. "Jake..." I shouted.

He rolled his eyes, and threw the phone on the bed. "I'm protecting you. Sonny is bad news, don't you understand?" He half shouted, throwing his hands in the air.

I shook my head. "He isn't. You don't know him."

"Neither do you, Danielle! You do as I say. You aren't meeting him, and that's final." He grabbed my phone, slid it in his pocket, and left the room, slamming it behind him. I heard it lock, and sank down, wanting to cry.
