Sat in Science, I stared at the whiteboard, not even concentrating. The classrooms in my school were a decent size, and were individual desks, spaced evenly apart. I sat on the row in front of the last, and Sonny sat in his desk next to me. Jake was behind me, and I felt his eyes on me the whole time.
"So fucking bored." Groaned Sonny, slumping further down in his seat. He looked at me, sighing. "For someone who likes Science, at the moment I'm hating Science."
I chuckled, keeping my voice low so the teach didn't hear. "Same. I think I'd rather do double Maths." I rolled my eyes, then the teacher stopped talking and snapped a quick look at Sonny and me. "Great." I muttered, as the teacher, Miss Tore, narrowed her eyes at us. She was short and thin, and a lot of the boys fancied her.
She had sleek dark brown hair, straightened, with two silver clips either side. She was dressed in black tights, a mini black material dress with a cotton turquoise cardigan. She was pretty, but her bright red lipstick and matching stilettos were a put off. She must have been about twenty or something. But everyone thought she was a whore, and I didn't disagree. Her voice was annoying, as she was a Geordie from Newcastle. "Sonny Leaver, Danielle Blake." She stated, like we didn't know our names.
Sonny bit his lip, holding in a laugh. "We're not talking, Miss Whore... Uh, I mean Miss Tore." He laughed, and the class laughed around him.
Miss Tore shook her head. "Keep it to yourself, Sonny." She went back to teaching the lesson and I couldn't help but giggle at Sonnys comment.
I started scribbling some random notes, when I felt a pencil prod me in the back. I flinched, and turned around. "Really, Jake?" I smiled, raising an eyebrow.
Jake smirked. "Best way to get your attention. Anyway, I'm having a few friends over the place tonight while you're at work, okay?"
I sighed. "Can't it be another night, I hate people round while I'm working..." My voice trembled, and I checked quickly to make sure the teacher wasn't staring at me again. I was safe, and turned back.
"I'm not asking your permission." He said, coldly. "Just don't embarrass me, and kiss me back when I kiss you. I've told all my mates we've gone all the way, so just go with whatever they say."
I scrunched my forehead. "But we haven't! Why are you lying to them?"
Jake glared at me like the answer was obvious. "They have all done it with their girlfriends, and I just look like a twat if I say I haven't. Just go along with it. And you acting like a right bitch this morning to me, so you better do as I say." He growled. Then, he smiled weirdly. "You know I love you, and you don't want to let me down, do you baby?"
I shuddered. "Okay..." I turned back. Sonny had his eyes fixed on his work, and I continued with mine.

Jake dropped me off at work after school. I worked at the most embarrassing place. McDonalds. Ugh, I hate it. I worked as one of the people on the tills, taking peoples order. I wore my normal clothes, but with a grey apron over my head, and a grey McDonalds hat with the logo on, and then a name tag. It wasn't the most attractive uniform.
I worked until half ten, as it was Friday and I had the longer shift. It was boring. Taking peoples orders. Forcing a smile at the younger people... I hated it. And I hated when lads came in and would check me out. It was disgusting. You'd have think a girl would love being checked out, but it made me feel awkward. Uneasy.
At the end of my shift, I stored my apron and hat in my work locker, and made my way home on the bus. The whole ride home, I thought about Jake. What he must be doing. He was angry all the time, but when he was drunk it was worse. Much worse. And I didn't know who would be at home, in my home. Doing God knows what.
