"Well it was nice talking to you Budo, but I'm quite tired and I have work in the morning. I'll see you soon bud." my dad patted him on the back, kissed my mom on the cheek and then went up to bed.
"Mom, is it okay if Bu-"
"Yes Ayano, he can stay the night. But only if it's alright with your parents mister." she winked at Budo.
"They wont mind. Thank you Ryoba." I bowed
"That's alright Budo. Go to bed, you deserve a rest." she gave him a hug.
"A rest sounds quite nice to be honest."
"I can imagine."
"Good night mom."
"Good night Ayano." she replied giving me a kiss on the cheek and a hug. She walked to the stairs and joined my father upstairs.
"Budo, can we just talk quickly?" I asked
"Yeah, what's up?"
"Come sit here." we sat on the couch.
"Did I do something wrong?"
"No.. the opposite actually. Budo, I just wanted to tell you something. I-I don't know how long it's been.. I don't know how you feel but.. I'm completely in love with you. I never want to leave your side. I just.. I don't even know how to put it into words.."
"Ayano. I feel the same way, don't worry." he pulled me closer and hugged me tightly. "You're the only scar I want to be permanent."
Hearing him say that.. I didn't know what to think. I know he meant it in a positive way but.. but I really was a scar on him. Whether metaphorically or not.
"Budo, I'm getting a tattoo."
"W-What? Of what? Are you allowed?"
"Of your name. And I don't care if I'm allowed or not."
"Ayano, why? Tattoos are permane- Oh. I see."
"It's only fair. Then we'll be even."
"Aya I appreciate the thought but-"
"No buts. I'm doing it."
Budo paused for a while and thought. He looked at his arms a few times, and even checked out mine. He looked me in the eyes and sighed.
"Where?"
"On my wrist." I pointed
"How big?"
"Not too big."
"You're sure?"
"Yes."
"I can't convince you not to do it?"
"I'm 18 Budo. I can do what I want."
Once again, he paused. He knew there would be no way of stopping me from getting it. He took my hand and reluctantly spoke once more.
"It's your own choosing."
"I know Budo. I want it. I want you. Forever."
"That's a promise I am happy to keep, but Aya, a tattoo?"
"Budo."
"Alright alright. You're 18."
"Thank you." I helped him up and dragged him to my room. Clothes were changed and lights were turned off. I left the lamp on and we laid in my bed comfortably.
"I think things are finally going to start looking up now." I said.
"I really hope so Ayano. I really hope so."
"Goodnight Budo." I yawned
"Goodnight Aya."

The End?

I think this would be a good place to end the story, but it's up to you. Here are my options:

1) End it here, this is a cute place to have a happy ending!

2) One final chapter in which Ayano gets her tattoo.

3) Continue the story!

4) Finish this novella, and start a sequel book which happens a little while (maybe a few months or years?) after the events of this book!

So, what do you think?
