Chapter 6 // Awake

W-Where am I? What's going on? It's dark and I can't move my-
"Hey Senpai! You're finally awake!"
"Ayano?" I yawned
"You wanted to leave me.."
"It's not that I wanted to, my family might get worried if I'm gone for too long."
"But I can be your family!"
"Aya, what's gotten into you?"
"Nothing! I just want to be with you all the time!"
"Ayano, I want to be with you too, you don't have to tie me to a chair to make me want to stay."
"I don't?" she sat on my lap
"Of course not Ayano."
"But how do I know you aren't just saying that to make me release you?"
"I promised I would help you Aya. I have no intention of leaving. Look, I'll stay here tonight, but I really have to go home tomorrow to get my stuff ready for school."
"Oh I love you Senpai."
"I love you too Aya."

"Fuck!" I woke up, "Oh.. it was a dream.. or a nightmare? No.. it was somewhere in between."
"Oh shit.. sorry Senpai. I forgot to turn the alarm off. Are you feeling better now? You completely crashed last night. Your shirt is in the washer at the moment after you spilt your hot chocolate on it, so your in one of my dad's spare shirts."
"Thanks.. I really don't know what happened." I sat up slowly
"So, you had a little run in with Info-Chan, eh?" she sat next to me
"How did you-"
"She told me. She sent the pic too. Looks a little incriminating hm."
"Incriminating?"
"I'm just kidding. Anyway. Everyone always says they want a yandere girlfriend, but as soon as they get one.. well."
"How much do you know?"
"Just the picture. Was there something else?"
"Aya.. is it true that you can only love Taro?"
"I don't think so. I've never really tried. Why?"
"Just curious. You don't still love him, do you?" I asked.
"It's complicated.. I don't think I ever really LOVED him.. I loved the way he made me feel. I still feel like that when I'm around him sometimes but.. not so much anymore. I was happy today. Not with him, but with you. I've never been happy before.. so thank you." she kissed me on the cheek.
"You're welcome Ayano. I'm happy to help." I put my arm around her, "What time is it?"
"About 1:15."
"In the afternoon!?"
"Yep."
"Shit. I'm sorry."
"It's fine. I'm glad you're feeling better. My mom said she'll take you home when you're properly awake."
"I don't mean to be an inconvenience, I can drive myself."
"Honestly, it's fine. I wouldn't want you feeling ill again and getting injured."
"Alright, thanks Aya."
"You're welcome."

"Thanks for the ride Ryoba."
"That's okay Budo. I'll see you soon." she smiled
"Bye Budo." Ayano smiled and waved.
"Oh! Ayano, I have something for you! Would you mind waiting here for like 2 minutes?"
"Sure, go ahead Budo." Ryoba smiled
"Thanks!" I ran off inside

Ayano's POV
"What do you think he's getting?" my mom asked
"I don't know..." I thought
"So, how long have you two been dating?"
"Not long. But he's known me for months."
"Oh so you were friends first, that's nice!"
"He's very kindhearted and caring. He's training me too, since he's the leader of the martial arts club."
"He must be strong. Has he got a six pack?" she winked.
"Mooooom."
"What? I'm just asking." she laughed.
"Here! Sorry.. I couldn't.. find it." he regained his breath and gave me a box.
"Thank you Senpai."
"I'll text you later, okay?"
"Okay. Bye Budo."
"Goodbye Ayano."
