POV - Ashley
It was a typical Friday afternoon for me since I was spending the hot summer day at the skate park. It was my natural habitat. I loved to spend every hour there trying new tricks and just hanging out with my best friend, Willow. Sitting down on the far right ledge I peered over the fencing where there was a two-three foot drop to a local road. On the other side of the road was buildings lining it including a hotel that Emblem3 apparently were staying at. I knew this because of my obsessed friend since she never shut up about these three boys. They had great music and all, but I guess I just don't get attached to bands like she does. As I peered along the road I noticed a massive mob of screaming fans behind a flimsy barricade.
Sighing to myself I glanced over at Willow who was showing up some dickhead who thought that he could out skate her. Giggling to myself as I watched her argue with the tall blonde-haired guy before Willow was fed up and skated towards me.
"What's up with you?" Her words didn't register in my brain for a couple minutes.
"Nothing..I just..I don't know.." Was my typical answer that is so very over-used. I figured Willow didn't care to pry so she just shrugged and skated back into the main part of the skate park to shred some more.
The blazing sun was beating down on my dark chocolate hair as I sat on the concrete ledge which radiated heat. My eyes went back to the mob of fans down the street when a roar of noise erupted from that direction. All I could make out was the barracade tumbling down and three guys running as a couple security guards tried to stop the fans. I was completely dumbfounded that I didn't know what I was doing until I found myself jumping from the ledge into the street. There were three boys running from the fans who I presumed was the members of Emblem3. A large smirk was on all their faces, but they also looked like they had slight fear in their eyes,
As they ran by me I waved my hands out causing the mob to stop which was a surprsie even for me. I didn't think that would work.
"You really think this is going to make them like you?" I muttered out unexpectedly like the words weren't mine. The fans just stared at me as Emblem3 stopped running to gaze back at why the fans had stopped in their tracks.
"If I was them I'd be scared to death of you guys," I continued still not knowing where these words were coming from. All of a sudden the fans decided to revolt against me. They all pushed past me and started up their chase again. As more fans ran towards me I swore under my breath as I joined the boys in running for my life. Just behind Keaton I started to pant after a couple minutes of running since I wasn't much of a runner. Finally, the boys ran into the hotel doors of the hotel they were staying at just as the security guard stepped in front of me. This man looked buff and like he wasn't messing around.
"You've got to be kidding me!" I swore out loud as I noticed the fans a couple seconds behind me racing towards the doors of the hotel. Before I knew it I was trapped up against the doors as the sound of screaming fans arose into the air. Every now and again I'd be pushed up against the glass doors while the fans tried desperately to get inside. This was crazy. My attempt to escape the massive crowd of fans was an utter failure.
Glancing inside the hotel I noticed the three boys I tried helping looking straight at me as they whispered something to one another. One of the boys with a Yums snapback walked over and whispered something in one of the security guards that was inside. A confused expression filled the security guards face, but he seemed to obey the boy. Walking towards the door the security guard opened the door once the security guards outside made the everyone move back. Everyone except me. The door swung open and the security guard gestured that I should come inside. Too stunned to understand I walked inside. It was really the only way not to get smooshed by a bunch of very dedicated fans.
"So what's your name?" A voice called out causing me to look up at the person who had spoken. It was one of the boys who was running away from the fans.
"Ashley," I answered calmly as I searched my memory for their names. I know Willow had told me their names multiple times, but usually I tune her out with that sort of stuff. Out of no where it hit me. Wesley was the one with the snapback who told the security guard to open the door for me. Keaton was the one who asked my name which left Drew who was standing next to Keaton. All I could think about was how much Willow would love this.
