Sniff-a-thon!

"?" P.O.V
I wake up to loud truck noises and shouting.
I hear growling....... I sit up and try to clear my cloudy mind. Wait. Did mom finally get me a dog??? I jump out of bed and sprint downstairs to find no one there.
"Mom?" I call, "where are you?!"
I hear more growling from outside.... what if mom's in trouble!!?? I grab the nearest weapon (a spatula) and run out, flailing the spatula, my battle cry echoing in the empty house. The door opens, and I hit something.
"Ow! What'ya do that for?"
"Ah! Grandpa!!! I'm so sorry! I thought you were a monster!!!"
"You little-" grandpa says as he ruffles my hair.
"Where's uncle Hammer?" I ask, knowing that wherever grandpa is, uncle Hammer is there too.
Gramps looks behind him, his face suddenly shifting to concern. "We found somethin' out there today."
"Besides lunch?" I tease
"Yeah...... besides lunch.... come on outside, lemme show you that somethin'"
He opens the door for me, and I walk into the sunlight. I blink for a second, then I see it- I mean her.
The girl (if even a girl) has wild hair, ragged clothes that seem too loose, dirty all over, and wears a ferocious (grin?) on her face.
"H-hi" I stutter "w-what's your na-name?"
The girl stopped growling. Started sniffing.
" I don't thing she under-" uncle Hammer started.
But then the girl roared, and turned to uncle, ready to attack. He grabbed his pistol out of his pocket, but I intervened.
"No. Shooting. Just. Quiet."
Everything was still. The girl tilted her head. She seemed confused.

Girl P.O.V
They just stopped moving. And communicating. Do they plan to hurt me or not? I approach the cub, curious. He doesn't seem the evil scheme kind of animal. He reaches out to me, and I sniff his hand. I stand up on my feet (something that I learned to do on my own) and look around. Actually.... they all seem pretty scared. I guess I can play this little game 'till my dragon comes back. He usually goes on weird little trips sometimes.
I walk over to the alpha and sniff him a bit, just in case. He seems fine. I nod in apprehension, and they get the message. I get down on my fours again and follow them.

Hi ppl/pony-things/wolfs/monsters/whatever u r!!!! I hope u guys liked this chapter, because it was really hard to write!!! Fun though! I didn't really know how the two main characters were going to meet, so I kinda winged it! Hope u liked it
