Ashley's POV:
'Ashley, honey, you're going to be late to school! Hurry up!'
I groaned. How could I have forgotten that I had prison today? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love school...it's the people I hate. Every day I have to put up with insults that shouldn't get to me, but still do. Stuff like: 'You're so fat, how are you even standing up?' or 'You must be on a seafood diet – when you see food, you eat it!' and then there's the whole physical bullying issue; being shoved whenever I walk down the hall and having to apologise, getting elbowed in class when someone needs their homework done and last but not least, having my car vandalised. The car I saved up for and constantly spend money on for repairs. Why is life so cruel?
'Ashley Roberts. Get down here this minute or you're walking to school!' My mother yelled.
'Okay, okay, I'm coming, calm your farm.'
I climbed out of my wonderful...comfortable...warm bed and had a quick shower, putting on a pair of leggings and my favourite grey hoodie. To top it off, I grabbed a beat up pair of converse. (A/N: some of you might be confused as to if she is slim or fat. To clear that up, she's actually quite slim, but in the story, she's bullied a lot on things that aren't true, but since she has a really low self-esteem, she believes everything they say...in reality, she's quite pretty, she just doesn't show it.) Running down the stairs I grabbed an apple and my car keys and headed to my formerly beautiful car.

As soon as I walking into the school, the whispers started. 'OMG! Look at those fat legs! She looks so ugly I don't know how she can even show her face at this school!' I sighed, what really pissed my off was when everyone talked behind my back. But then again, it wasn't all too great when people walked up to me and said what they thought of me either.
'Hey nerd!' I chose to ignore the voice...that was a mistake. 'Hey! I was talking to you, fatso and I expect an answer!' I sighed for what felt like the hundredth time, slowly turning around to face none other than the most popular guy in school – Lucas Krolewski – hot, Russian and a jerk.
'What do you want Krolewski?' I asked, tiredly.
'Ok...first off, it's Mr Krolewski to you, and secondly, I just wanted to ask you a question.'
'And what would that question be?'
'How...wait, that's not it...uhhh...You look so...no, that's not it either...ummm...' This was hilarious; I could hardly contain my laughter. Mr Popular had forgotten his own insult!
'Go on, what were you going to say?'
'Uhhh, you know what? Forget it; I didn't want to ask you anything. Let's go guys. He started to walk away but his group didn't move an inch. Instead, they continued to snicker. He looked back and glared at me.
'I said "let's go"!' He growled.
I fought the grin trying to appear on my face, he really was worthless. Wow.
Slowly, his group trailed after him and I was left with peace and quiet...wait, quiet – that means everyone's gone...which means school's started!! Oh shit. I was late.
