"Ha Gi! Hajima! It tickles!" Chan Yeon giggled. The two children chased each other around the park, not even a bit tired. Ha Gi managed to hide from Chan Yeon by squeezing herself in between the pillars before Chan Yeon came.
Chan Yeon tried to look for her as Ha Gi giggled.
"Yah! Where are you~" Chan Yeon called out in a sing song voice.
It was around 10.30 p.m. when Ha Gi and Chan Yeon would usually meet at the park. That was the place where they first met, their parents hated each other for some reason. Forcing the two girls not to see each other.
They made a specific date everyday, 9.00 p.m. sharp, the park, every wednesday. That was their plan to see each other. Since both their parents worked late at night they wouldn't even notice.
Both of them hated studying and boys. Chan Yeon thought that boys were disgusting at first, they would always bully her. Tugging her hair, throwing her school bag in the dustbin, to Chan Yeon, they were really annoying.
Ha Gi, hated studies. Her elder siblings always got high grades, her parents would praise them but when they saw Ha Gi's marks, there would often be a look of disapproval from them.
When they first met, neither of them had any friends. They only had each other, which was why they lied to one another. Chan Yeon was walking back from the nearby library to the park and Ha Gi had just finished a
'date' with a boy.
Both were so happy with themselves and was so lost in thought that they bumped into each other. Chan Yeon apologised profusely when she saw Ha Gi's dress get covered in mud but Ha Gi laughed and forgave her.
They walked with each other and talked for a while, neither of them keeping track of the time. Ha Gi asked her if she liked to hang out with boys but Chan Yeon frowned and shook her head. Chan Yeon asked if Ha Gi liked boys, resulting in Ha Gi panicking, forcing herself to agree with Chan Yeon.
Ha Gi was desperate for a friend. She was often ignored by the girls in her school and would be given glares from them. They were jealous about how Ha Gi could choose any boy to date with in school. They pushed her away from their cliques, making Ha Gi a loner.
This was her chance to make a new friend, she lied to Chan Yeon about her relationship with boys. Ha Gi told her that she hated studying. Chan Yeon's eyes grew wide, she couldn't imagine someone hating to study.
Nonetheless, when Chan Yeon was asked if she liked studying and vigorously shook her head again. Chan Yeon was desperate for friends too. She would often go to the library, where there was peace and quiet, and no one to talk to.
The students in her class thought that she was a freak since all they saw her do was study. Chan Yeon herself didn't bother to talk to anyone. She was too afraid.
She told Ha Gi that she wasn't interested in studying, hoping that she wouldn't get caught in her own lie
( CAUGHT IN A LIEEEEE) Both of them found out that they had a lot in common. They walked around the park, played together, and had a lot of fun.
It was already becoming late, neither of them checked the time and was too distracted. Their parents became worried, trying to find them.
