RYKER POV
Bea came back to her house about three hours later. I decided to jog over to her house to see her.
"Bea!" I called.
She looked up and smiled. She then immediately laughed, "Wow, how much did you drink?"
"Do I look that bad?" I asked.
She shook her head, "A little tired, but not horrible. Nothing like that very first party we went to sophomore year."
She chuckled fondly at the memory. Sophomore year we went to a party and I went way overboard with the drinks. I couldn't stop throwing up for two days.
"What's up?" She asked, shaking me out of my thoughts.
I kicked the dirt underneath me, "I just wanted to apologize again for last night. I really meant to come back to hang out with you." I said honestly.
"I know. It's okay, honestly. It actually worked out for the better." Bea said, a small smile tugging at her lips.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well last night Jared Sankowski started talking to me and then he drove me home, and then he asked m out on a date for tonight!" She practically squealed. I was taken aback Jared was a dick and a known player. What was he doing talking to Bea?
"What? That's so weird!" I said, trying to slow down my thoughts.
Bea crossed her arms, "It's weird that someone would ask me out?" She asked stiffly.
I shook my head quickly, "No, no no! That's not what I meant." I said quickly.
"Then what did you mean?"
"I meant is that Jared is kind of a douche. I'm sorry that it came out wrong. I'm just surprised you'd go out with a guy like him." I corrected.
Bea, ran her hands through her dirty blonde hair, "You don't even know him Ryker. He's actually really cool." She said. I didn't want to fight with Bea. She had the best heart and always gave people the benefit of the doubt and multiple chances, it was something I lov-liked about her.
"I'm sorry, I was out of line. I'm happy for you." I forced out.
She smiled at me, "Thanks. Do you want to come inside for a while. My date's not until later tonight and my parents are both at work."
I nodded, following her inside.
BEA POV
Ryker and I were binge watch our favorite show when I looked at my phone and it said it was 5:30. I wanted to make sure I looked perfect for my date so I wanted to get ready now.
"I should probably get ready.." I said after an episode ended.
"It's 5:30?" Ryker said, confused.
"I know, I still have to get ready. " I elaborated.
"For an hour?" He said.
"Yes! I need to look good!" I said frustratedly.
"But you always look good!" Ryker exclaimed. Both of our eyes widened.
Ryker cleared his throat, "I mean, you look fine now. Are you going to a ball or something? Why do you need to get all changed?" He asked.
I rolled my eyes. "I'm in jeans and a t-shirt. I need to change." I said.
"Fine then go get changed. I need to see whatever this finished product is if it's going to take this long." Ryker said.
"Fine!" I gave in, heading up stairs to get ready for my date.

RYKER POV
After about 45 minutes, I finally heard Bea coming downstairs. "Okay, I am finally ready." She announced.
I looked up from the television and I did a double take. Slowly she stepped over to the living room, in a dark green dress and her long hair was in loose waves, and she looked slightly taller in black heels.
"So... how do I look" She asked quietly. "I need a guy's opinion."
I looked her up and down and felt a weird sensation in my chest.
You look stunning, hot, gorgeous...
"You look really nice." I said aloud.
Bea smiled shyly, "Thanks Ryk." She replied.
She strutted over to the couch, "Okay, so what episode are we on?"
BEA POV
I felt nervous but very excited for my date and was glad Ryker was hear to calm my nerves.
I hoped he would be on time, and right on the dot I got a text.
"He's here!" I said excitedly.
"How do you know?" Ryker asked.
"He texted me." I stated as it was obvious.
"He should come up to the door. It is your first date after all." Ryker said.
I rolled my eyes and shrugged. "It's the 21st century. It's fine. It's not like we're strangers." I said.
I quickly grabbed my coat, "Okay, wish me luck! Just lock the door behind you." I said.
Jared's car was parked right out front. I took a deep breath and and tried to look as confident as possible before sliding in his car.
AN: Sorry it was a short and kind of boring chapter, it's gonna get better!
