Your pov
He had lost his tools again and you just sat on the couch watching him with a rare smile simply because he had walked pass the tool he was searching for several times was sitting by a weilder, you continued to play your game none the less just waiting for him to find it "hey Docbot?" you asked but he ignored you "docbot" you repeated then began to repeat in an annoying tone until he faced you "yes y/n?" "watcha doin'?" "trying to find my tools" "you mean that one?" you asked pointing towards the one and he glanced over before a frown appreared on his faceplates while an innocent one appreared on yours but he didn't seem to notice as he grabbed the tool cursing in his native language earning a smile from you "and for the record I knew where it was the entire time" you commented before he faced you "well thanks for the help y/n" he replied with a frown then returned to his work 'I love you Ratchet' you thought watching him work closely.

The base was peaceful for the rest of the day and at curefew Ratchet decided to actually drive you home, you gathered your things then headed down the stairs to where he transformed into his alt-mode opening the door "what a gentlemen" you teased putting the seatbelt on "don't make me change my mind" he grumbled driving out of base and into the Nevada desert, for a doctor Ratchet didn't seem to talk much when you two had the time to take a drive together even if it was a half hour drive home being you lived on the far edge of Jasper, he was probably thinking about what he would do when he returned to base but that wasn't always the case.

Ratchet's mind wandered to you, you had only been his charge for a couple weeks already and he was starting to like you simply because the other humans especially Miko drove him insane with their chattyness but you were quiet, paitent and caring.

Sometimes you spoke but only when asking questions on what he was doing that day and how he had been, Ratchet thought humans were obnoxious or social or annoying but I guess not all humans are bad.

"Ratchet what was Cybertron like?" Y/n asked suddenly throwing the doc off guard "well it was similar to your planet but more disurbed with the gladiator fights, races and other activities but I've been a medic for a very long time and I've had to treat wounds from horseplaying as your people call it and unlike your planet the weather remained the same all year round" Rach explained and you nodded in understanding.
