"How are you y/n?" Optimus questions as you open his door. "It's getting worse" you say holding onto the handle.
Your vision is failing. It's getting worse. You can hardly see anymore. Using your feet you feel for the step, and then the floor. The two grey colors are hardly distinguishable.
Soon your shoe bumps into another step. You're at the staircase leading to the "human corner" where the soft orange fabric of the couch greets you.
You sit down. "Y/n, I am sorry to hear about your sickness" Prime says from beside you. You glance sideways, and give a small smile.
You could go blind any day now. Small colors, and textures to complete darkness. How will they cope with this?
This means that the chances of leaving the base might decrease for your safety. You feel helpless like a burden. You can feel someone watching you.
"Y/n, did the Doctors say when you lose your sight?" Ratchet questioned calmly. You open your mouth to answer, but you can hear vehicles arrive.
"Any day now" you say then go silent. "Uh hey y/n, how are you?" Bulkhead greets. "Fine" you spoke quietly.
Jack, Miko, and Raf come up the stairs to sit next to you. Ratchet tells them the news. No one says a word. Who would expect their friend to suddenly go blind?
"So, how is exactly is her being blind going to work?" Miko asks. "Like what do we do?"
"What we can. Y/n is our friend, so we all must help her. Jack, Miko, and Raf can assist you in school" Optimus explains to them.
You look in his direction to see the outline of his Bipedal form. "Yeah" you spoke. For once Miko is quiet. This is new. You became her friend not long after the school year started.
Sometimes Bulkhead would take you too to another state, so that you can have a paintball war. You weren't a good shot, but Miko was no better.
"Bulk let's go for a drive" Miko says taking your hand to drag you down the stairs. "I guess until you go blind we can go sightseeing" Miko suggests.
Ratchet opens a ground bridge them Bulkhead drives through. "Where are we?" You ask. "Wyoming" Miko says before telling you all about Crash Monkey.
Hey, at least she was trying to be helpful.
