Chapter 1

*Kayla's P. O. V. *

"Ughhh." I whined reaching my hand out to find my phone. I stopped the alarm and got up. I headed downstairs to have breakfast before the family got down here. I rushed to finish then went upstairs to get a dress. I sighed it would have to be a long one. Today's forecast sunny. I don't understand why I burn so easily but I do. So I got long sleeved everything for Christmas. I grabbed leggings a tank top and a fluffy jacket and quickly put them on. I finally got into the bathroom and started straightening my hair and by the time I was finished it was time to go.

"Kayla time to take your sisters to school." My mother yelled from the kitchen.

"Mom I'm riding my motorcycle to school and dad already took his truck. I don't have enough room to them." I said back trying to find a way out of taking my sisters.

"KAYLA YOU WILL TAKE YOUR SISTERS TO SCHOOL OR SO HELP ME MOON GODDESS." She screamed at me tossing me the keys to the slug bug. I groaned but nodded. My sisters pushing past my in their heels and miniskirts. I walked out of the house and locked the door behind me.

"Geez can you go any slower snail. I can't be late Brad is waiting for me at school." Vanessa growled looking at her nails as I ran to the car.

Vanessa and Emily ran inside jumping on their boyfriends. I quickly looked away not wanting to see them all over each other. I walked inside and put my stuff in my locker that already had graffiti on it. I sighed and started off for the library. Once I got there I hid in a corner with a book until the first bell rang. I grabbed my science book and walked to class. After the first twenty minutes of class I got hit with a paper wad. I looked around and see the jocks laughing and signaling for me to open it. So I open it very cautiously then I take a look. Oh great a mini devil that I'm assuming is me.

*afterschool*

I do homework and eventually get bored and start looking through photo albums. One of the pictures of me when I was little I looked closer something seemed off. I dropped the photo album and my mouth hung open. I walked over to my bathroom and looked in the mirror. Opening my mouth I looked for the fangs I had seen in the photo.

"How did I not notice this before!" I whisper yelled to myself running my hands through my hair.

"Mom!!!!!!" I screamed. She had to be the one who did this why though. I always knew I was different, but a freaking VAMPIRE. No wonder nobody liked me.

"What is it Kayla?" She asked from my doorway. I turned and smiled at her showing off my fangs. She gasped then glared at me.

"Get out!" She screamed. "Get the hell out of my house you monster." I stepped backwards shocked by her response. She wasn't even going to tell me why she hide this from me.

"Not until I get answers!" I screamed back at her glad I didn't give in to her command.

"Leave before I call the alpha!" She growled at me. I knew that if she did he'd kill me. That's the one thing that I knew for a fact. Vamp- I mean I am an enemy of werewolves even though I shifted on my birthday this year.

"How is this possible!!!!" I yelled to myself pulling on my hair noticing she had left and quickly locking the door. I quickly packed two bags full of clothes. At least now I know why I burn so easily. As soon as my bags were packed there was a bang on my door. I screamed. I can't believe she called them. Well look's like I'll see how fast these legs can carry me. I drop my bags out the window and climb out after them. I could hear the warrior's coming my way so I quickly grabbed my bags and started running. I made it to the pack border as the warriors started closing the gap I had put between us. I took a deep breath and stepped over walking into the forest. I found a little meadow with a waterfall where I sat and cried.

*Greysons P.O.V.*

"Alpha there's a someone at the border." Tyler ,my third in command, tells me.

"Go check it out and report back to me immediately." I said calmly getting back to the paperwork. I wasn't alpha for no reason.

"Alpha it's a vampire." He growled and I growled with him. Rubbing my temples I thought about how to approach this.

"Take some warriors with you and capture it. Then bring it to the dungeons I will deal with it later." I said angrily vampires how dare one think it can just prance into my land.

"But sir, it's ummmm well she ummmm she appears to be crying ,sir." Tyler said back. Crying???? I've never heard of a vampire crying.

"It's most likely a trick. Just follow orders Tyler." I growled putting the paperwork back down and heading to the dungeons. On the way there I bumped into Tyler who must've been on his way back to the pack house. Then a wonderful smell hit me making my wolf whine.

"Whose smell is on you Tyler?" I asked trying to stay calm. It wasn't like anything I'd ever smelt before though. It must be my mate.

"Rosa's ,the vampire's ,and Dan's." He said calmly looking at me questioningly. When he pointed that out though I rushed into the dungeons. My thoughts were correct. As my wolf growled mine when he saw the prisoner.

"Mine!!" I growled opening her cell and hugging her to me. I shoved my nose into the nock of her neck taking a deep breath. She smelled like apples and strawberries. She started balling and trying to shove me away. Making my wolf upset to the point where he pushed me to the back and gave her a warning growl.

"What's wrong princess?" He asked trying to calm her down so he could take her back into his arms.

"I don't want to hurt you. I'm a monster." She sobbed and he growled how dare someone make her think this of herself.

"You are no such thing. Come here." He said opening my arms to her. She shook her head and backed away still crying. He growled to himself and decided now would be a good time to shift so that's what we did this time I got control back though. I whimpered and slowly crawled to her nudging her arm with my head. She cried pushing me away ,but she eventually wore herself out with all the crying and I told Tyler to bring me some clothes. I shifted and took the shorts out of his hands and picked up my mate kissing her head. I took her to our room and layed her down in her bed after taking off her shoes and kissing her forehead again.

"Goodnight sweetheart." I quietly told her.
