Deepika is a shy ugly loser who is fragile, afraid, and depressed. She is very studious and is the smartest student in her whole school, but she has no friends and everyone hates her for no reason.
After the death of her mother Aishwarya, her alcoholic father Salman marries the evil Kajol who is materialistic and mean and has two mean daughters, Katrina and Anushka. Katrina is a slutty model who all the boys drool over and Anushka is mean and evil and creepy. The whole family hates Deepika and she is depressed.
Her life begins to feel better when she meets Ranveer, who is smooth and charming but turns out to be using her and cheating on her. She then falls into deeper depression and begins cutting.
Desperate to change her life, Deepika decides to run away on a trip to Manali, where she meets Alia who is dating Sidharth and Priyanka who is dating Shahid who quickly become her best friends. She then meets Ranbir, a rich bad boy who is cocky, mean, and a player but is really hot and instantly falls in love with him. They don't see eye-to-eye on anything and fall into a love-hate relationship, especially when his slutty ex-girlfriend Nargis enters the picture.
Until one day, Ranbir finds Deepika cutting and tells her she is beautiful, thus ending her depression forever.
He then pulls her into his arms always, beats up any guy who looks at her, and is very possessive, making her fall deeper in love with him. His best friend Varun then plays cupid and they begin dating.
Except Rabbit (a/n - i mean Ranbir, sorry, Autocorrect!) has a dark secret: his sister Shraddha killed herself when her family forced her to get married and he hates his dad Shahrukh.

Okay I'm calming down. I'll admit, writing a summary is NOT EASY. I for one, sucked at it for the longest time! Mine tend to be too short and too broad. But I have gotten better with time, so let me help you. You're free to ignore me too, that's cool. :-) First, let's discuss what a summary is.
Now, according to Oxford Dictionary, a summary is "a brief statement or account of the main points of something." Fair enough.
KEY WORD: B R I E F .
Another definition from Business Dictionary is "an overview of content that provides a reader with the overarching theme, but does not expand on specific details."
When you're writing the summary, I would suggest starting by answering the following questions in one word: Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How?
Let me use the example above.
Who - Deepika and Ranbir. THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES RELEVANT.
What - They meet each other and fall in love through a love-hate relationship
When - Not really applicable here, this is more if it was specific to a time period other than the current one
Where - Manali
Why - She's depressed, he's angry
How - Because of their sad lives, traumatic pasts
See?! That's all you really need. Now just milk what you already have. For example, if you have a supporting characters, just use a sentence saying how they meet each other through new friends or something. That's all.
