The Heartbreak Chapter 2

I am excited enough for it to seem like I'm over reacting. I probably am, though. Who care, it's a date; it's what every girl wants.  Jake and I get to the movie theater and I look at all of the choices. "Corie, it's whatever you want. So pick anything, " Jake encourages.

"Are you sure? What if its something you will hate?" I didnt want him to feel miserable through the whole movie.

"I'll be fine, I promise," he says with a smile. Oh goodness,  he is the cutest when he smiles. It makes the room brighter. I pick the movie What Happens in Vegas. When the movie is over I decide it was hilarious, but also sweet at the same time. It was almost like a feel good movie to me. We leave the building hungry,  so Jake and I go to my favorite restaurant: Cheddars.  The food gets to our table,  and we dig in. It is delicious. I get the chicken tender salad, and Jake got a deli sandwich.

We both get full and head off to Central Park. Jake holds my   we walk through the field. About 10 minute after, Jake starts telling me all the corny pick up lines he would tell other girls to go out with him. "Did you fall from heaven? Becuase you look like an angle. " You know, things like that.

i chucked after each one.  "Those are so corny, old, but cute at the same time," I interrupted his "Tennessee" pick up line. "But don't you dare use them on any other girl. You got yourself stuck with me."

"Dont worry, I won't. You are my one in a million. " Jake lets out a laugh, but I can tell he means it.  I admit, that was pretty good though.

I realize its ten o'clock. My mom is going to kill me! "Dagummit!" I whisper yell to myself.  We are 20 minutes away from home and I was supposed to be home 15 minutes ago.  "Something wrong?" Jake looks at me worried.

"Im sorry, but our date has to be cute short. I was supposed to be home by 9:45."

"What time is it now?"

"Ten o'clock."

"Lets get you home. No telling what your mom will do!" Jake jokingly freaked out, which made me smile, takes me by the hand and we run all of the 100 meters we walked into Central Park.  Jake and I get into the car and Jake tries start it as quick as he can. I laugh at how he is missing the keyhole on purpose while putting in the key. "Dont get us into a wreck on the road from going as fast as you are going." We havent even  moved yet. Jake looks at me with his jokingly "are-you-kidding-me" face.

"I care too much about you." He kisses my hand and changes the shifts to start driving.
