Princess Series Book 1: Cinderella

Chapter 1: School, ugh.

"CARA GET DOWN HERE NOW!" Daphne yelled to me. It was 3:00 AM, but I got up instantly and ran down the stairs as fast as I could.

"Yes ma'am?" I said. I am her personal slave, so I must act like a real slave or she will take away my iPod. Yeah not a big deal to you, but for someone who listens to music to survive this terrible life, it's a bad thing.

"Why is the party mess not cleaned up?" She asked me.

In my defense, she told me I was not to come downstairs at all for the rest of the night. She had a party with all the biggest stars, except a few of the guys who are scared of her. Daphne owns a huge record label and tries to steal stars from other record labels to make her name even bigger.

"I'm sorry ma'am I'll get right to it." I said. I started cleaning, then I heard someone come down the stairs. Two people I mean. One set of the twins. That's right. Daphne had two sets of twins. One set are both my age, 16, and the other set are 17. The older set came down the stairs.

"WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING? IM TRYING TO SLEEP!!!" Victoria screamed.

"Your mom told me to clean up the mess. I'm sorry I woke you up." I said innocently. Honestly, I hate her and her three sisters. But if I act like I do I get punished.

"You should be!" Her sister, Peyton said. Then they turned around in perfect unison and stomped up the stairs. They scare me.

It took 3 hours to clean it all up, meaning in was 6:00 when I was done. I had 30 minutes to get ready for school. I ran up the stairs and did all that I had to do in 15 minutes. I plugged my iPod in the speaker and let it play while I cleaned my room. I sang along to the music. Then story of my life by One Direction came on. The younger twins burst in my room.

"Since when do you like One Direction?" Audrey said.

"I don't. I just like this song." I said.

"Okay good because we would have to murder any competition with our future boy friends" Sophie said.

"Pfft, she wouldn't be competition. She's so annoying!" Audrey said. Ugh I hate them all. They walked out laughing. It was Rome to get to school. They make me walk. They have a limo, a Ferrari, and an old Beetle. I'd be happy with the beetle! I hate walking to school. It's not like I can drive yet... But I will!

"Cara! Hey! EARTH TO CARA!!!!" My best and only friend Ava comes up to me.

"Oh hey. Sorry I'm not paying attention." I said.

"As always... Anyway........ Did you hear that Dylan is planning to break up with your step sister? Victoria will be so upset." She said. The only reason she's telling me this is because I kinda have a crush on Dylan.

"Ava honestly she shouldn't be upset. I mean he's a year younger than her! And plus if you're thinking I'm gonna ask him out then think again." I said and then the bell rang. We ran to class and made it when the teacher had her back turned. We thought we were off the hook until Sophie realized we were late.

"Mrs. Ryan, Cara and Ava were late." She said. That little....

"Cara and Ava that's the 3rd time this week. You have detention." She said then kept on with what she was doing. My eyes widened. No! I have dance class today! And we are having a guest teacher! I can't miss this!

"Mrs. Ryan, I can't do it today, I promised my dance teacher I'd help her with something today. I will serve double tomorrow if you let me go for today. Even triple!" I pleaded.

"Your usually good with this, so I will just have you do your time tomorrow." She said. I smiled. Sophie looked really mad. Oh no... She will tell Daphne.... But she has nothing against me! I did nothing wrong! She'll find something.

The rest of the day was terrible because Ava isn't in any of my classes.

That's my typical day.
