(Shane's POV)
The hospital decided to keep me for a few more days. I'm fine with it though because everyone I love basically visits me on a daily basis. I'm glad that Joey recused me from my deep depression. Ever since, he's been visiting me daily. We're taking it very slow though. I don't want to risk too much all at once. I love how he understands.
However, soon I know that I'll have to tell my mom that I'm gay. And all my followers too. They don't even know that Lisa and I broke up.
(Joey's POV)
I drive down the road with Shane on my mind. I'm sort of confused. Are we boyfriends? Dating? I'm not sure. All I know is that I like Shane and he likes me. But that's a big step up from where we were before.
When I arrive to the hospital, I wall right through the white doors. I'm a regular visiter now.
I push open Shane's door.
"Hey!" I say brightly.
"Hi Joe!" Shane responds.
"Joe?"
"Just messing with you! Haha."
"How are you?" I ask.
"Well, my hospital gown gives me a nice ass breeze so...pretty great!" Shane jokes.
"Uh, I asked how you were doing. Not your butt!" I say laughing.
"Well, the food here..."
"SHANE! Seriously," I cut him off. "How are you doing?"
Shane sighs. He enjoys covering things up with jokes.
"I was just wondering when we were going to come out. I mean, we don't have to come out as a couple or anything but we're gonna have to do it sometime."
My heart beats faster. Did he just say couple?
"Well, my family already knows. But you should tell your mom."
"Tell his mom what?" a voice asks sweetly.
Teresa just opened the door. Shane looks pale. Oh crap.
(Shane's POV)
"Mom come here and sit down. Joey, would you mind leaving for a few minites?" I say calmly, but on the inside my stomach is doing flips.
"Sure." Then Joey leaves.
My mom walks over to the visiter chair and sits down.
"What did you wanna tell me Shane Lee?" My mother asks, concerned.
"Mom, I'm gay."
I just say it. No beating around the bush. That would be dumb.
A moment of silence passes then:
"Oh Shane Lee, that's great! It all makes sense."
I laugh. Cause I would've said the same thing.
"Like all the dress up and characters, you were attracted to it because of this!"
"I guess mom. I just thought I should tell you first before I tell all my subscribers..."
"What? You're going to tell them?"
"Yes mom! Of course! They're like my family too!"
"Shane...they don't really need to know that. I mean, for now at least. I just think you shouldn't tell them about Lisa and this all at once."
"Yeah, I know mom. I wasn't going to."
"Okay Shane. I'm glad you told me. I don't love you any less because if this. Okay?"
"Okay Mom." I say grinning.
She leans over and hugs me.
"I love you Mom."
"I love you more Shane Lee."
