Y/n's Pov:
While I was walking down the sidewalk, enjoying my peaceful afternoon, I had felt someone grab my hand. I looked up to see a cute brunette boy looking at me anxiously. "Just play along, I'm being followed." He whispers, looking at me with pleading eyes. My eyes go wide for a second until I come to my senses and smile. "Hey, babe. Are you ready to go meet my dad? He just finished his shift at the police station and is ready to have lunch with us!" I lean into him a bit and smile widely. He nods, hesitantly and I start pulling him forward.
We walk, hand in hand until we are almost to the police station. Finally, as we almost reach the supposed destination we see someone walk past us fastly, not bothering to look back. The brunette boy I had been with untensed and let out a relieved breath. I look at him with a confused expression. "Was that him?" I whisper, gesturing to the hooded figure who had just run past us. He nods softly and turns to me. "Yes, thank you so much. I'm Jimin by the way." He stopped holding my hand but ended up putting it back out in front of him for me to shake it. I take his hand and smile. "I'm (y/n) and I am happy to help. Why was he following you anyways?"
He shrugs. "It's a long story." I look at my watch and look up at him. "I've got time." He looks at me curiously and then looks down, chuckling and shaking his head. "If you insist, but let's go somewhere else. Just in case he comes back." I nod and smile. "I know just the place."
-Time Skip-
"You are telling me that your mom dated that guy and now he is after you because?" We are in my favorite cafe when he is telling me why exactly that guy was following him. "Because he thinks I can make her love him again, but he's a douche bag and my mom can do so much better." I laugh at that last comment and he smiles. "He must be pretty dumb to think that she wants him back after he left her for some club scum." He nods exhaustedly.
"Sorry for ruining your quiet afternoon like that. I just didn't want to deal with him." I shake my head, dismissing his apology. "No need for the apology. I told you, I was happy to help. Anyways, if you wouldn't have 'ruined' my quiet afternoon," I say with finger quotes around ruined. "I wouldn't have met you." He smiles shyly and looks down. I giggle and get shy from his shyness. He looks at me with hopeful eyes. "This won't be the last time I see you will it, (y/n)?" I shake my head, without hesitation. "Of course not." I grab a napkin and a pen out of my purse. He gives me a confused look when I hand it to him.
"It's my number, so we can keep talking. I would love to meet again." I say smiling ear to ear. He matches my smile and puts the napkin in his jacket pocket. My phone buzzes and I see a message from my mom saying I need to get home before sundown. I look out the window and see that the sun is already starting to set. "Is everything okay?" I look at Jimin's worried expression and nod sadly. "Yeah, I just have to head home now, sadly." He nods understandingly, but he looks disappointed as well. He perks up a bit and looks at me hopefully. "Can I at least walk you home? It isn't safe for a girl like you to be alone when it gets dark." I smile and nod, glad I get to spend extra time with him.
-On The Walk Home-
"He did what?" I say in a fit of laughter. He had just told me how his best friend Taehyung tried to impress a girl but ended up running right into a pole. "He ran right into the pole." He says laughing just as hard. When we finally start calming down from his funny story, we have made it to my house. I knock on my door then turn to Jimin. "Thank you for the fun afternoon." He smiles and shakes his head. "It isn't every day you meet someone who is being followed." He says with a wink. My mom opens the door with a smile on her face when she sees Jimin.
"Who's this?" Jimin smiles sheepishly and holds out his hand. "I'm Jimin. It's nice to meet you Mrs. (y/l/n)." My mom takes his hand and smiles at me like she's in on some joke, or as if she knows something. I shake my head at her and giggle from her accusations. Jimin turns around and looks behind him to avoid eye contact in the awkward situation. He nudges me and gestures to a hooded figure walking around the corner. I grab his hand and I look at my mom, trying to give her my best 'I'll explain later' looks. She gets the memo and moves to the side, letting us in.
I lead Jimin into the living room and pull my mom into the kitchen. "What's wrong, sweetheart? Why did you bring him in in such a hurry?" I look at her and smile awkwardly. "Now, I know this might sound crazy, but.." I tell her everything that had happened leading up to this point. She nods understandingly. She moves past me and goes to Jimin without a second thought. I follow her quickly, curious about what she is doing. She sits down next to Jimin and grabs his hand, giving him a warm smile. "Jimin, you are welcome to stay here for the night. With your current situation, it is too dangerous for you to go home by yourself." My eyes widen in surprise. It's not like her to invite a stranger into our house like that, but I'm glad she is.
He smiles relieved and thanks her about a million times. I lead him to the guest bedroom, right next to mine. "The bathroom is right across the hall. I will get you pajamas from my brother's room. He is away at college now, so it is no worry. Oh, also-" He cuts me off by giving me a tight hug. "Thank you for everything. It means a lot to me." I hug him back, melting into his warm embrace. "Like I said before, I'm happy to help."

Ahhh okay, I liked this one :D. Also, I know this makes two Jimin one-shots in a row, but when I saw that picture I immediately wanted to make a one-shot based off of it. I'll make another one about another member soon and you can request them if you want! I'm always open to suggestions and constructive criticism!
