Deon stood atop of an abandoned church. The area was flat so he was able to see for miles. But where he stood, he was as hidden as he could be if anyone was looking for them, too. Which they were.

The "Last True Americans" or LTA as they were called had been chasing them since Denver.

He was more surprised at finding a standing church. Most places of worship no matter what faith had been burned or converted into other facilities.

He praised God for how fast they were able to get out of dodge.

But he wasn't going to push their luck. Now that he knew his parents were missing or dead and his sisters were instructed to leave Tulsa. Why would his parents want his sisters roughing it to Colorado? He didn't know the environment of Tulsa anymore so they may have known something that they didn't tell his sisters.

"Deon! She's delivering!" Geoff voice wavered as he hollered as he ran toward him, "Hurry!". Deon didn't even see the man before he was slamming the door to get back inside to see his wife.

Minutes later Deon was sitting next to Jasmine. He held both Geoff and Jasmine's hands as Henry was doing her thing. She wasn't technically a doctor but she was the best thing that they had.

Geoff fidgeted and asked questions many over lapped one another. His skin pale with red marks, sweat dripping across his forehead. His brown eyes seemed darker the more he stressed about his wife and his child.

"Geoff, you're stressing Henry out. She's got this." Deon said reassuring to both of them. It shut him up long enough to release Henry to do what she needed to do.

"Jasmine, I can't promise that your baby is fine. You're both alive that's all I can say at the moment." Henry answered some parts of the questions Geoff had been asking. He didn't seem relieved but she wasn't one to lie.

A couple nights ago an LTA member tried to abduct Jasmine. She was considered a "deal" as she was a "twofer". When they fought to keep Jasmine with them -- they took it out on her.

She needed everything and Henry couldn't give her anything other than prayers. Prayers didn't even feel enough.
