It was all fun and games for awhile thought Jefferson. It was a spiritual awakening that he never knew.

To fight, steal and kill whenever and whoever he wanted was a satisfactory thrill. He didn't care or come for approval. It was like the old classic horror films where the people get to make the rules.

Now he was feeling what all the people he attacked felt. He didn't know death could take slow long. He was slowly losing himself but he could only smile at everything he accomplished in such a short time.

The LTA member stayed behind to make sure he died. After he stopped fighting but accepted his death the man drew with a hot metal 'thief' and 'LTA' across the man's forehead.

Had Jefferson paid attention he would have noticed even before the fall that people made their own rules. He felt unrestricted because of the world changing. But while he was following his own set of rules others were following their own.

No one necessarily needed the government that once was to establish some sort of order. The nameless LTA noted the gray clouds indicating it was about to rain. He glanced over to the dead man one last time before riding out.

Jefferson laid slumped against the closed down gas station staring up as the rain began to pour. Jefferson was used to this as it always rained in Oregon.
