Harry- Long labor

You were currently passing the floor of yours and Harry's house waiting for Harry and the boys to return home from their interview that they had earlier that morning. You had been having pains in your stomach and you were thinking that it was early labor pains since you were a few days away from your due date. But now you were certain that you were in labor and all you wanted was to have Harry there next to you comforting you and whispering encouraging words into your ear.

You walked around for another 5 minutes before you heard Harry's car pulling into the driveway and the boys all getting out and walking through the front door.

"Hey babe! What are you doing up? You got put on bed rest yesterday." Harry said as he walked over to you and helped you sit down on the couch.

"Harry, I'm in labor." You said looking his right in the eyes.

"Are you sure? It could just be BX again cause that's why the midwife put you on bed rest." Harry said.

"No Harry, i'm sure. I know these are not BX's. This is really happening." You said.

"Okay, lets get you to the birthing center then." Harry said as he stood up and helped you stand up.

The boys all got up and ran around the house finding your overnight bag and other stuff that you needed for the labor. Harry helped you into the car and the boys all climbed into the back. Harry was being really calm about all this and not freaking out at all like you thought he would.

10 minutes and one contraction later you made it to the birthing center. Harry and the boys walked you in and nurses got you in a wheelchair and to your room. Your water broke soon after you were situated in the room. A nurse came in and changed your sheets and checked your dilation. You were at 4 centimeters, and you knew that you had a long painful day ahead of you.

Harry called his parents and your parents to tell them that you were at the hospital in labor. About half an hour later Harry's parents arrived. Your parents lived farther away and they weren't sure that they were going to make it there in time.

You were progressing slowly and about 2 hours later you were now at 6 centimeters. You didn't want an epidural during your labor so you just used gas and air. Harry was sitting beside you the whole time holding your hand.

"I wan't this to be over already!" You said.

"I know babe, I know. It will be over before you know it and you will be holding our baby in your arms." Harry said as he kissed the side of your head.

You fell asleep for about an hour and by the time you woke up it was almost midnight and you were in so much pain. Harry was sleeping in the chair next to you and the rest or the boys were scattered around the room on couches and chairs sleeping.

A nurse came in and checked how far along you were dilated. You were now 9 centimeters.

"So close, just one more centimeter and you will be abode to push!" The nurse said.

You nodded and took a deep breath as you felt a contraction starting. You reached over and grabbed onto Harry's hand. He shot up and was helping you through your breathing right away.

"One more centimeter Harry." You said through breaths.

"Not long now." Harry said with a smile on his face.

"Oh GOD THIS HURTS SO MUCH! I WANT AN EPIDURAL!!" You screamed as a contraction started, making all the boys wake up.

"I'm sorry sweetie, you are too far along now. It's too late." The nurse said as she prepared you for the delivery.

"NO I"M NOT READY!" You panicked. 

"You need to push now for me Y/N." The nurse said.

You took a deep breath and pushed down bet you didn't feel your baby moving down.

"Push harder for me!" The nurse said.

You pushed down harder but still your baby was not moving down.

"Your not going to be able to push this baby out. We are going to have to do an emergency C-section." The nurse said.

Before you could respond you were being wheeled out of the room and down the hall. Harry was running after you with scrubs in his arms and the boys were all sitting in the waiting room along with your parents and Harry's parents who were all watching you getting wheeled away with fear in your eyes.

You were given some pain medication to prepare you for the C-section while Harry was putting his scrubs on. Soon Harry was by your side holding your hand and talking to you to distract you while the doctors were getting your baby out.

Harry was called over to cut the cord of your baby. He then walked back over to you with your baby in his arms. Harry handed your baby too you.

"We have a daughter." Harry said.

You held your daughter close before she was taken away to get cleaned up.

"What are we going to name her?" Harry asked.

"I like Ruby." You said.

"Me too." Harry said as he walked over to where she was getting cleaned up.

"Welcome to our family Ruby." Harry said as he looked down at his daughter smiling as she stretched out her arms and yawned.

"You should be tired. It's past midnight." Harry said.
