Leora has only ever been two things: an orphan, and a thief.
The castle dungeons have become a second home to her. A far better home than her current one: the streets. However, every time she is thrown into the dungeons she is freed by the King himself. She doesn't know why, but she finds it is best not to ask questions when things are going your way as that's a sure-fire way to turn the tide against you.
One day the King summons her to the castle and calls upon her to undertake a dangerous mission which will require her specific skill set: thievery. With a reward of fortunes beyond anything she has ever known, the choice should not be too hard. But when it comes at the cost of leaving behind everyone she has ever known, including her best friend Olivar and her fellow orphans, not to mention she will be accompanied by the Captain of the Guard who is not too fond of her - to put it mildly - then perhaps this mission will not be as easy as she thinks.
