Madison's POV

I had been at work for 5 minutes when I knew something wasn't right. I walked in and there was a deadly silence. No noise, no drama, no arguments. I realised at once what was missing. Jefferson.

I don't know how I realised so quickly that Jefferson wasn't there, I guess it's just a sixth sense or something. He is my best friend, after all. Normally I wouldn't worry about not seeing Jefferson until we go to get lunch together, he is a very busy man after all. But, today it felt different. It felt like something was wrong. Like I said, it's my sixth sense.

So I left and went to Jefferson's house. As I walked up the front steps leading to the large, oak door, I admired his house. I'd never actually been inside before, Thomas tends to keep his life outside work rather closed off. I knocked on the door 3 times and waited a few seconds, but there was no response. I tried a second time, and a third, but still, no response.

I was really beginning to worry now, so I decided to go inside and find him. Thomas' house was very posh and sophisticated on the outside but on the inside it was exquisite and intriguing, much like himself if I'm honest. His whole interior was beautifully decorated in the deepest shades of purple that only a man of great taste such as himself would choose.

"Thomas?" I called out, hearing my voice echo due to the emptiness of the rooms. "Thomas? Are you here? It's me, James." But I got no response.

I climbed the great, marble staircase to the second floor as I figured he might still be in bed asleep. I entered the first bedroom I came upon and, by luck I assume, came into sights with Thomas, sprawled out on his bed, still fully clothed from the day before, and holding an empty bottle of whiskey in his hand.

I stood closer to his bed, admiring him. His amazing hair crowning his perfect face, his small lips parted slightly as he breathed deeply in his sleep. I crouched down next to him and shook his arm gently.

"Thomas" I whispered softly "Thomas, it's James. Wake up Tommy."

His eyelids fluttered open slowly as his eyes scanned my face carefully.
