Students fled from the building after the bell rang. Most went home to do homework, or not. Some went to to watch the freshman girls vs. boys soccer game, others went to play in it. Although it was considered just for fun, it was relatively important, as the winner received first dibs on field and practice time.*~*
a long periolodically time later (I'm sorry I had to)
Andy walked moodily towards the field, bag slung over her shoulder. She dropped her stuff by the bench and walked out to the field to meet her friend Megan, one of her best friends and also a defender. Her friend Anna was also on the team, but she was warming up with the midfielders.
"So MVP," Megan teased her. "What's the game plan?"
Andy shook her head. "I'm good, but not that good."
"Right," Megan replied. "You're not good, you're terrific. Also, stop being modest! Own up to it!"
"Look, this is an important game. Let's not get caught up in discussing MVPs and what not. Besides, if you're talking 'game plan,' you're the one to ask."
The whistle blew and the game began. Her, Megan, and Anna worked like a well oiled machine, passing and shooting with a driving force of the entire boys team. Andy dribbled excellently around the strikers and even switched places with Anna as she dribbled up field for an assist. Megan cleared the ball tremendously and even caused her boyfriend Chris to flinch.
The game was going very well for the girls by the time Andy was called out for a rest.

It was halfway through the 4th period and after a miraculous come back, we were down only one. Andy had been taken out of the game again and was taken out of the game and was sitting uncomfortably close to me. She had her earbuds in and was blasting music, but was concentrating on the game. I mustered up my courage and moved beside her.
"What are you listening to?" I asked. She didn't answer and I was worried that it was on purpose, but I realized that it was because she couldn't hear.
"WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO?" I yelled. She heard me, but barely acknowledged me as she pressed the home button. I saw what she was listening to, and I felt my cheeks heat up. She still listened to 5sos. I sighed contently; some things never change. Just as she looked up I rolled my eyes in silent laughter and moved to the end of the bench.
I realized that she might have interpretted the eye roll wrong, so I tried to catch her eyes and smile. The thought of eye contact made my stomach lurch and cheeks heat up, but she was worth it.
The only problem was, when I look for her, she was already gone. 'Out on the field breaking people ankle,' I decided.
*~*
After she left the bench, I downloaded a 5sos song to see if they were good. After the fist minute or so of the song, I downloaded the rest.

Oh god. The eye roll. He must think I'm so childish. I passed. I was passed to. Before I knew it, I was in front of the goal. I was defense, so I don't normally have the chance to shoot, but oh well, life's tough.
I scored.
The only thing that put a damper on my mood was that I was never able to catch Anthony's eye. He was to busy doing something on his phone.
Oh well. It's not like I have a chance with him anyway. I'm pretty sure he hates me.
//well I have most definitely been updating quite a lot, but I suppose that's better than not updating at all. I wrote these out before I typed it up so I don't need to worry about new ideas. Also, I don't have a lot of homework (lucky I know) but I will soon. I will be using my frequent updating now as an excuse later. :) hope you liked the chapter!
