In another Life

Andy PoV

I stared at the back of his head again; his dark hair and that same soccer jersey that caused my cheeks to heat up. I don't even know what team it's for! I caught a glimpse of his dark eyes before I turned away blushing. Good Lord, eye contact. If he ever found out about my crush, the entire grade would soon know. No thanks, that would not be fun. It happened once in elementary school and I did not want it to happen again.

The bell rang and I sprang to my feet. From one prison to the next, everyday for a week, every week for a month, every month for a year.

Anthony PoV

I caught a glimpse of her, then she was on her feet and out the door. (I don't blame her. This class was horrid.) I was annoying back in elementary school when all my friends teased me for her liking me, but now that she no longer liked me, there wasn't much I would do to get that back. I doubt she liked me at all anymore, even though it seemed like fate that were ended up at the same high school together.

I saw her walk by and flip her hair to one side. then she plopped a beanie onto her head in that careless way of hers.

I sighed and grabbed my books, walking off to join my soccer team for practice before the big game against the girls soccer team. Dang it! How was she so perfect! She even played soccer herself! Why did she have to be so perfect?

I sighed as she walked away. Maybe in another life.
