"In the beginning there was only ocean! The mysteries of life was yet to be made. That's when Te-fiti, the Island goddess, created all life, She fell into a deep, deep, deep slumber, becoming an Island herself. Her power was great but those who sought Te-fiti's heart wanted to contain and control its powers, and soon the most daring of them all came forth and took it. His name was Maui."
The girl pointed to a detailed painting picture of her story, a tradition that was now for her to take up sense her grandmother passed. A crowd of children that gathered to listen all gasped in shock of Maui's name, giving Moana the que to continue.
"Maui, stole the heart to give it to the mortals, but when he was confronted by a demon named Te-kā, They fought a violent battle that shook the world. Maui and his magical hook caused unmeasurable shock waves when collided with the giant Demon." She then walked to another detailed painting and started to exaggerate her movements more to make her story more interesting.
"But in the end Maui had vanished, making his hook and the heart disappeared into the deep deep ocean...but Legend said that one day, someone would find Maui and restore the heart. A thousand years later, the ocean found that someone, she was chosen her for a reason, that reason was to defeat Te-kā and save the world from darkness."
Reminiscing while still telling the little ears about the story, Moana couldn't help but smile at her clear memories. "One night she took a boat, and traveled across the ocean to find Maui with Te-fiti's heart already in her hands. The sky was dark and she followed the stars to the end of Maui's hook, but then that night a grand storm came and recked her boat. She woke up on an island and found the great Maui. They traveled and battled many dangers that awaited them. She also had to face the great demon Te -Kā. Maui fought her off while the girl made her way to Te-fiti to restore the heart. But as she approached the sleeping goddess...her body was nowhere in sight."
Parents were near by to hear the story as well, knowing very well this was Moanas experience out on the ocean. "Nowhere in sight??" "But where did she go!?"
Moana was excited to realize she got the attention of others and continued on. "The girl looked back onto the demon, and found it had no heart...that's when she realized it."
"Realized what?"asked a one of the kids.
"...That the demon was actually the goddess."
"Then what happened?" asked her father who sat close by.
Moana ran to the other side of her story telling space and began to reenact the moment she once lived. "She allowed the monster to come towards her, while singing a song that would bring peace. The realization of the love she once had towards life, the demon came willingly. Once she was close enough, the human girl restored the heart, and the curse among the demon was lifted. Ever sense that day the Island...no...the world! Has been at peace, and now we have nothing to fear when going out onto the ocean."
"How do you know Moana?"
"How?" The confident girl chuckled. "Because the girl was me. I know how it is out there, and there is nothing to fear."
Everyone in the crowd gave their appreciation to Moanas storytelling. To her father, he could clearly see his own mothers spirit in her. He was happy and realized this truly suited her. "Well done Moana. I'm proud of you."
The Curly headed girl was relived to hear her two week preparation story was approved. She wanted so badly to take a break and not worry about painting anymore pictures. "Thanks dad...um...can I maybe go out now?"
The tall man looks at the canoe behind him. "Now? But we still have the feast-"
"Please dad! I promise it won't be long. I just want to watch the sunset, and then I'll be back."
It takes him awhile but he answers "Okay"
Happy to get her canoe out onto the bay, Moana gave one final look to her home, knowing that they won't worry about her, then set sail and head beyond the reef.
It was amazing to think about. Only two years before she wasn't allowed to go near the water, but now...She could be here when ever she wanted. As long as she got back before sundown of course.
She kept on sailing until the island was about the size of her palm. She took out a blanket to laid on her stomach, but as she watched in awe, the horizon flashed and unusual green. It only lasted seconds before the sun had fully disappeared and the stars were out like they were forced to.
The weird event made her frightened. She was about ready to head home when she realized the moon was already coming to view.
It was big, Big to where she could swear it was watching her. It had no eyes, No mouth, But she could tell it was watching her.

Unexpectedly, a strong wind came blowing into her sail, making her float further away from her island. She quickly grabbed hold of the rope that controls her direction of the sail, but the force pushes her to the ledge of the canoe.
Moana is able to catch herself before falling over, and then something in the close distance captures her eye...
"Oh no!!...ocean!! Help there's a whirlpool!!...are you causing this!?!?"
At this point she calls out to her friend Ocean, but for some reason it does not respond. So as her last resort she takes her ore and tries to get her canoe away from the whirlpool.
However it's no use, the more she tries, the closer it gets. Now she's approaching it, and it's no stopping it.
