"Ahh Hood River at last. This is going to be great," I say turning in the direction of our host house. I get excited but when I look in the mirror I see Quinn rolling her eyes. "Quinn this will be fun and I'm sure we can dig up information on something like your sister, my mom, something. Plus we'll have fun doing it like secret undercover spies." I pull into the driveway of an enormous house and am greeted by a small family of a mom teenage girl and littel boy around ten years old. I whisper to Quinn to remember that she is Britney Spells.
Quinn and I get off the bus and walk up to them. "Hello there you two, we are so happy to be hosting you this year," The mom chirps with a russian accent as the teenage girl rolls her eyes. "My name is Malvina (pronounced MahlVEEnah) Fominov, but you can call me Mal. These are my children, introduce yourselves kids." The little boy, eager to start goes first.
"I'm Gleb, I'm six, and I just lost a tooth, see!" the boy says loudly smiling wide and pointing to the gaping hole in his mouth. Mal nudges the teen as she crosses her arms and rolls her eyes.
"Tatyana" the girl says with a Russian accent like her mothers but a little toned down. I smile brightly at them for their traditional Russian names.
"It's nice to meet you all I'm Jonathan Neeley, but you can call me Than." I say turning to Quinn to signal her to introduce herself and to do it correctly. She glares at me then happily turns o the family.
"Hiiii, I'm Britney Spells you can call me Brit, Brit-Brit, Britney, Spells, or whatever." She says twirling her freshly dyed brown hair. Mal smiles.
"Come, I'll show you your rooms, we have lots of them." Mal turn and starts walking to the house so Quinn, Gleb, Tatyana, and I follow her. When we get inside Tatyana and Gleb weed off to their own rooms and Mel starts us on a tour of the immaculate downstairs. We go through the foyer, family room, t.v. room, parlor, dining room, kitchen, and sun room. Although Quinn and I were bored out of our minds Mel insists we go on to our bedrooms so we can get some of our stuff in.
"Okay so the first two rooms on the left are Gleb's then Tatyana's on the right is my room and the guest bathroom. Each room has it's own bathroom with a toilet and shower, but Tatyana has a Jack and Jill style one that connects to Brittany's room here," Mel rambles off when we finally reach the top of the stairs although she is already pushing open the door to Quinn's room. We look inside the room. One wall is peacock green, two walls are peacock blue and the last wall has a peacock painted in the bottom right and feathers painted and mounted on to the wall.

"Ooh pretty I like the theme," Quinn says in her Britney voice. Mel walks down the hall and opens a door. I assume it's mine but it's weird to have a room in between Quinn and I. More weird to have me so far away from everyone.
"Come look at your room, this used to be my oldest son's room until he moved out," Mel says gesturing me to look. I walk over and Quinn goes into her room. I peer in and see a large room painted grey. A lot of things in the room were grey actually like the bed and the carpet and the chrome chandelier/fan on the ceiling. There's a large window that looked like it connected to another room but a wall but it in half but I know that can't happen. Across from the bed is an orange t.v. with an orange bookcase underneath it. The room was simple not much decoration than that if you don't count the orange paintings hanging on the wall. I liked it though, it was cool. The only thing that somewhat bothered me was the painting leaning on the headboard against the wall that said, "Maxim."

"Wow this is nice, but what does Maxim mean?" I say to Mel pointing at the headboard. She giggles then replies.
"Maxim is my oldest son. Him and Tatyana were both born in Russia, we moved here when was six and five years later we had Gleb. I decided even though Gleb was born in the U.S.A to give him a traditional Russian name. He's in college now but he ways always proud of his name, he took more of his decorations with him. The room used to be covered with his name and his awards. You could take the sign down but there is a larger one in the bathroom above the mirror." She rambles on.
"No it's fine I like it, Maxim is cool sounding I like it" I say back to her looking around in the room, "I'm gonna start moving some of my stuff in from the bus if that's okay with you. Some it I'll leave in there, unimportant stuff. I think highschool in america will be fun this year." I smile brightly as Mel leaves to her room.
