Chapter 9 (POV Quinn)

"You shouldn't have started that French fight with me," Leon tells me when we get to our lockers at the end of school. 

"In all honesty, you started it," I snap at him.

"What did I do? You were the one who got heated and yelled"

"You called my friends random people and made me look rude!"

"You made yourself look rude when you started yelling," Leon tells me as he slams his locker shut. I slam mine and try not to yell at him more. Tatyana is outside in front of the school with everyone else.

"Hey lil Canadians, you ready to go?" She asks us. I glare at Leon and bite the inside of my cheek.

"Sure," Leon says, rudely if I may put it.

"Ookkaayy, are you too still fighting about whatever you were fighting about earlier?"

"No," Leon tells her, but I disagree.

"Yes," I bark.

"Let's just go and be alone in our rooms and maybe this will blow over, maybe," Tatyana tells us.

"Honestly what were you two fighting about earlier? You looked crazy, like the people in Walmart speaking Spanish to girls they like. You two were just, ugh," Tayana tells me. she's sitting in a chair in the corner of my room holding a pillow. She is honestly concerned for us.

"Nothing of importance. He honestly needs to get over me though," I tell her trying to make up a story.

"Wait, was he mad that Bentley was all over you? Were you mad Amanda was all over him?" She asks.

"No and no. He doesn't care and I don't care. Well, I don't know if he cares or not. We used to date, but not for long. We are like siblings so it was kind of weird," I lie to her. It would be weird if we dated because of how close we are though. 

"Oh I see. Has he dated anyone since you?" she asks. The questions are hard to find a lie to. I decide to fake laugh a bit.

"Jonathan? Dating? Oh that's just hilarious," i pause a bit, "oh you were serious. As you can tell, no."

"Is he like considered ugly in Canada?"

"No he's just an, insider. He doesn't like to be seen much. He likes to lay low. Ya know."

"He's gay?"

"Where did you get that from?"

"You said he likes to lay low, I'm pretty sure that's code for he's gay."

"I literally just said that he and I dated. I was saying he was an introvert, Tatyana."

"Well I was also figuring it might of been weird because he's not into girls."

"No he is not gay in the slightest. I do have a suspicion that Zach is gay and Bailey is his beard. That's why he's all over her. He doesn't know how to act." 

Tatyana gasps, "That honestly could be true. Bailey is his first girlfriend. OMG you are like so smart."

"I know."

"Do you like Bentley?"

"Why'd you change the subject?"

"He just texted me asking about you."

"Shit."
