Chapter 18: Reality Check

     It's now August, and we start school in about two weeks. I still haven't told Green
about the cheating. Leaf has been pestering me about it everyday. I want to tell him, but
I get so nervous around him. I really like him and I don't want to be hurt by him. Wow,
that makes me sound selfish. I am selfish. Earlier today, I asked Silver to come over and
hang out. I wanna ask for his advice. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy that will
torture me over the issue. He probably won't care too much.

     I was watching tv when I heard a knock on my door. I got up and answered the door
to find Crystal, Lyra, and Silver. "RED! I haven't seen you in forever!" Lyra squealed.
"I've missed you!" Crystal yelled as they both latched themselves onto me. "Leaf is
upstairs if y'all are looking for her." I explained trying to shake them off. "Thanks Red!"
Lyra said running up the stairs with Crystal trailing her. "Hey Red." Silver greeted.
"Hey, do you want anything to eat or something?" I asked. He nodded his head and
headed towards the pantry. He asked if he could take a bag of chips. "Let's go outside." I
said leading him towards the patio.

     "So, you said you wanted to talk to me about something, what is it?" Silver asked in
between handfuls of chips. "I need your advice. I fucked up." I started. "Like oh well
fucked up or seriously fucked up?" He asked. "More than seriously fucked up." I
explained in shame. "Damn, what did you do?" He asked. "I cheated on Green, twice."

     "Shit, you did all that with his brother?" He restated. I nodded my head while looking
down. "Blue is gay?" He asked with a shit eating grin across his face. "I guess so, I don't
know." I replied. I honestly didn't know. "So, what are you gonna do about it?" He
asked, looking concerned. "That's why I called you over, Leaf has given me some advice
but it isn't really good." I answered. "Leaf knows about this? Doesn't she date Blue?" He
asked, widening his eyes. "She used to. She caught us in the act last week." I explained.
"Why did you do it?" He asked. "I don't know, I couldn't control myself. It's like my
body took control of my actions." I answered, trying not to cry. "Sounds like you have a
problem. You need to tell Green. It's already bad you've waited this long to tell him." He
explained, rolling up the bag. "Problem? Bad?" I asked. What problem? "You're
promiscuous, and it's bad that you haven't told him because he might be more
understanding if you told him right away." He explained. "It will sound like you're
untrustworthy to him, even though you aren't." Leaf explained. WAIT! When did she
get here?! Silver and I turned around to see Leaf, Lyra, and Crystal standing at the door.
"Wh-when, did y'all, get, here?" I stuttered. I was terrified. Now two extra people know
what's going on, and they're girls! Girls will tell everyone they know my business! "We
just got here, but Crys and Lyra already know what's up. I just told them." Leaf
explained. I gave Leaf a 'really' face and rolled my eyes. They all took a seat and sat in a
circle with Silver and I. "I agree with Silver, if I was cheated on, I would want to be told
right away." Lyra explained. "I would have felt better about it. And Silver is right, again,
you're kind of a whore." Leaf said with a smirk. "You're not helping." I spat. "Think
about it, how would you feel if Green did what you did to him?" Crystal asked me. "Real
shitty." I said while looking down. She made a good point. I would be a fucking mess.
"I'm gonna tell Green tomorrow. The guilt has been eating me up. Thanks for all of your
help guys." I said to the group. "Good, hopefully something good will happen. Green is
pretty understanding." Silver said. "Green is such a sweetie!" Crystal and exclaimed.
"Let's go get ice cream!" Leaf yelled.

The five of us walked into town and ordered ice cream. I paid for all of us since they
each helped me with my problem. When we were walking back, Lyra saw a group of
Tangela and made us stop. They're very ugly, they look like a pile of blue spaghetti, but
they're sweet. We all got back to mine and Leaf's house, we all played monopoly until
six. Silver, Lyra, and Crystal left leaving Leaf and I in the living room. "Do you wanna
make dinner with me?" She asked. I nodded my head and followed her to the kitchen.
Leaf took out a bag of potatoes, and made me peel them. Why am I always peeling
potatoes? She made fish fillets with mashed potatoes and green beans. Seriously, how is
she so damn good at cooking?! I'm so useless in the kitchen it's not even funny. After we
ate Leaf's delicious cooking, Leaf said she was gonna take a bath. I guess that I'll just
watch a movie. When I heard her water start running, I searched the cabinets for a
movie. Most of the movies were Leaf's. She has the most childish movies ever. Hannah
Montana, Frozen, Camp Rock, and even more. I found Tarzan shoved in the back and
figured that it will do. I haven't seen it in awhile. I watched about half of the movie until
I heard knocking on my door. It's nine o'clock, who the hell could that be. I got up and
walk towards the door. Before I could even open the door, until I was suddenly decked
in the face. "You asshole! How could you?!" Someone yelled. I couldn't tell who it was
due to the punch that I received. My vision started to come back and I saw spiky hair.
Oh no, it's Green. How the hell did he find out?!
