Chapter 34: Date, Again

It has been two months since Blue left to live in the Alola Region with Professor
Oak's brother, and it feel like a ton of weight has been lifted off of our shoulders. Green
has been smiling and actually happy for once instead of coving it up. I don't feel so
clammy or paranoid or depressed when Blue is around, and even Gold has changed. He
treats Crystal like a queen and isn't a douche. All eight of us have been getting along
fantastically. The unimaginable happened and Green asked me on a date last night!
He's picking me up tonight and we're going to Viridian City to go out to eat. He wants to
go somewhere super fancy so we're going to The Viridian Kitchen. I googled the
restaurant to see how fancy it is and holy crap it's expensive! Twenty five dollars for an
entree? Damn Green. I need to dress my best.

It's four o'clock right now on Saturday. It's January and it's extremely cold. Green is
picking me up at five to leave to go to dinner. I panicked when I saw the time. I didn't
pick out my outfit! "Leaf! I need fashion help!" I yelled from my room. I heard Leaf's
music stop playing and her trampling down the hallway. "The fashion police is here to
help!" Leaf shouted as she busted my bedroom door down. "Really." I said. "This is an
important matter to me!" She exclaimed. "Well, Green is taking me to The Viridian
Kitchen and I need something to wear." I explained. "Oooooh so you need to look
classy! I have just the look!" She said as she dashed into my closet. She ripped apart my
closet until she found my dress clothes. I had a ton because I needed them for track
banquets. It took her twenty minutes to find the "perfect outfit." In the meantime, I
showered and did my hair. Leafy had picked out a black suit with a white button up
shirt with a red bow tie. She thought it would be cute to have it match my name. "It's
perfect! The fashion police has saved the day!" She exclaimed, while looking at her
masterpiece. I gotta admit, I looked pretty damn good. I finished just in time at five
o'clock and received a text from Green saying he was coming in. I walked down the
stairs to greet him.

     "Wow, you look great!" He said with a bright smile. I felt my face flush. "Thank you."
I said as I hugged him. "Let's go!" He said as he dragged me out of the house. We're
actually taking a car to Viridian City. We usually walk to the city to enjoy the scenery.
"It's too cold to walk, so I'm borrowing the car." He explained as he opened the door for
me. Green is such a gentleman. Green and I mostly sang in the car to J. Cole during the
drive. Green doesn't judge me for my horrible singing. That's what I like about him, I
can be myself around him. "Well, this is the restaurant. We got here just in time. Our
reservation is in five minutes." Green explained while parking the car. We got out and
headed towards the building. We were taken to our table and I was amazed on how
magnificently decorated the restaurant. I had to force myself to stop ogling it because
I'm ashamed of how many shows I watch with Leaf that show off home decor. "So, what
will you be getting?" He asked. "I don't know yet." I replied. I picked up the menu and
scanned through the selections. They literally had everything you could ever want. "I'm
going to get the Grouper with mashed potatoes and green beans." I said. I've never had
Grouper, so why not. "Sounds good! I'm getting swordfish with the same side dishes as
you." He explained. "Thank you for taking me out. I haven't been anywhere this nice in
a long time." I explained. "Awe you're welcome, I just wanted to impress you and to
spend time with you." He said, his face slightly turned pink. "Green, you don't have to
take me anywhere this fancy to impress me. You could burp really loud and I would be
just as impressed." I said with a smile. Green laughed and took a sip of his drink. When
our food arrived, we devoured it all. It was so fucking good, I can't even explaining.
Green sure did get his money's worth. Green paid for the dinner and we walked back to
the car.

     We arrived back to my house and we sat in his car for a few minutes and talked. "Hey
Red, can I ask you something?" He started. "Yeah sure." I replied. "How much do you
like me?" He asked. "I like you a lot, more than you would ever know. Why?" I said.
"Well, I care a lot about you also, like, a lot." He said. "Awe you're so sweet." I said.
"Um, would, you like to be, my, boyfriend?" He nervously said. I can't believe it! He
asked me out! The best man in my life has asked me out! "Yes!" I excitedly said. Green
smiled and went in for a kiss. Of course I kissed back, I can't even explain how happy I
am. "Would you like to come inside? It's only seven." I offered. "Sure! I'd love to see
what shenanigans Leaf is up to." He said. We got out of the car and we're definitely met
with some shenanigans. Lyra and Crystal were in the downstairs bathroom helping Leaf
dye her hair blonde. "What in the world are you doing?" Green said as he poked his
head into the bathroom. "Greenie! I'm dyeing my hair!" She said. "I liked your hair the
way it was." He said. "I wanted to try something new!" She explained. "Leaf is going to
look so good!" Lyra said. "At least she stopped wearing a pound of makeup everyday." I
said.  "Isn't it great!? I've saved so much money by not wearing it. Paul said that I look
better without it." She said. "Well Paul is a smart man then." Green said. "Thanks
Greenie! Alright girls! Time to rinse all this dye out!" Leaf said. Crystal and Lyra went
into the bathroom and attempted to get all of the dye out. "So, what do you want to do?"
Green asked. I thought for a few seconds on what to do until I genius idea hit me. "I
know! Go home and change your clothes. We're going to make something awesome!" I
said. "Make what?" He asked. "Malasadas!" I shouted.
