Elijah's Pov

To be honest, I don't know why they are keeping me here. I believe I have been here for a while. They think keeping me from feeding is going to get the memories out of me. They fortunately did not take my phone, so I was currently leaning against the wall, playing sudoku on it. I hear the door open but I don't bother looking up, knowing that Nicolas or one of his hitchmen would be standing there. "Are you going to tell us now?" I silently put my phone away, looking up at him. "Do you really think that starving me to death is going to bring my memories back? Because I would love for that to be the case." Nicolas chuckles, stepping closer to me and pulls out what looks like a dagger.

"That won't have much affe-.." I'm cut off by myself screaming as he slowly pulls it down my chest. "Now what was that? That this won't have much affect?" He holds the dagger up, "This my friend has holy oil on it. It very much will harm you."

That is the last sentence I hear from him before collapsing onto to the ground and everything going black.

Two weeks later

"Wait!" I run after someone, wanting to see the person one last time. "I'm not going anywhere, Elijah." The person turns around and I come face to face with Demi. "Good because I do not want you to go." He smiles, pulling me into a hug. "You know I love you right?" I nod, smiling fondly into his chest. "Always." I felt so lucky. The luckiest I have been in the past century. "Please never leave me." He kisses my forehead, laying his chin on top of my head. "I would never leave you. Screw the rules because Elijah James, you are my life."

I wake up with a start, feeling a very sharp pain go through me. I bend over, wrapping my arms around my stomach as I cough up blood. Two long horrid weeks. I still have no idea how I am able to walk in the sunlight. I keep having dreams with Demi in them though. I sigh, leaning back against the wall and looking up at the ceiling. I still have my phone, somehow saving the battery life in it by keeping it turned off. I could message Demi to rescue me but he could get killed. This isn't fair. I did nothing wrong. I slowly stand, looking at the time on my watch. It was eight in the morning. The sun would be out right now. I walk to the door, turning the knob slowly. Unlocked. Great. The others would be asleep. I slowly step out of the room, looking both directions before walking out. I slowly make my way down the hallway, barely keeping my eyes open. I make it outside with no trouble.

Probably would be a better idea to go to Demi's place. I pull my phone out, messaging him and asking for his address. He doesn't question me, telling me the address. I head the way of his apartment. Boy, he isn't going to be prepared to see the sight of me.

Twenty minutes later, I am knocking on his door. I was barely standing at this point, using the door frame as support. He opens the door and I give him a faint smile. "Hey Elij-.. what the hell happened to you?!" I sigh, "Long story." I state, letting go of the door frame. I sway side to side and Demi has to catch me. "Come on. I have some clothes you can borrow. You can also shower if you can stand." I slowly nod, heading in the direction of the bathroom after he points to it. I make my way into it, shutting the door and turning on the water. I wince, pulling my clothes off and throwing them into a pile. I glance into the mirror. I looked awful. Plus, nothing was healing considering I haven't feed in two weeks. Maybe longer. I step into the shower, letting the water hit my back. It hurt but it was worth the pain. I wanted to be clean. A few minutes later, I get out and grab a towel that was on the sink. Demi must of came in here to lay some clothes and a towel while my mind was elsewhere. I dry off, making sure not to reopen any wounds. I find his first-aid kit and get to work on sewing up some of the deeper wounds. I then pull on the clothes that he left out for me. They happen to be a pair of sweat pants and a loose t-shirt, obviously to be in less contact with my skin.

I step out of the bathroom after I am finished, holding my ruined outfit in my hand. He walks up to me, handing me a bottle of what looks like blood. "Where did you go get this from?" He shrugs, not responding. "Oh please don't tell me went and killed someone to get this." He chuckles, "no. I got it from the hospital with some connections I have." I slowly nod as he takes my what used to be designer clothes and open the top of the bottle. I drain the bottle in one drink, feeling so much better than I have in a long time. All I need now is like a weeks worth of sleep. Demi seems to notice my fatigue and takes the empty bottle from me. "You can sleep in my room if you want, but I want a full explanation when you wake up." I sigh, but do not argue and go to his room. I lay down in the bed and close my eyes. I am out within minutes.

Screams. That is what I am faced with in the dream world. Where are they coming from though? "NO! DO NOT TAKE HIM FROM ME!" I look around for the source of the screaming. Then I see him. Demi on the ground, being pulled back by a man. "Please! Leave us alone! We were not bothering you. You have no right to intrude in our lives."  I try to reach for Demi, for the love of my life but I couldn't. I was being held back as well. "Demi!" He looks at me with a sad look. "I will find you, my love! I will find you when we wake up. No matter how troublesome it might be with no memory." I feel tears roll down my cheeks. I couldn't lose someone else. I already lose so much, but to lose him, was like losing half of me. "I will wait for you, Demi Reed. Find me. I will be there."

I wake up after that dream. What in the hell was that? I look at the time. It was in the middle of the night. I might as well get more sleep.

But why was Demi in my dreams? What does that mean?
