"What did you say?!" I whisperly yelled.
I was going to meet his dad?! Oh, I should've mentioned this or maybe I did already, but Doris has this thing with her ex-husband of still celebrating their aniversary. Even if their divorced, their trying to prove other people that they can be friends still.
Yeah, I know. Doesn't make sense to me either. What I suspect is that their trying to make it work between them. For Aaron and Austin. Let's hope.
"Can. You. Fake. Being. My. girlfr-" He started slowly as if I were stupid or something and I cut him off.
"Whoa. Hold the horse!"
He windened his eyes at my expression. I was getting buttered up and got ticked off... and rightfully so. Specially sense I realized he just complimented our whatever-this-is type of relationship to getting something from me.
Sly bastard!
"You want me to freaking fake being one of your whores so you could play it off for your dad?!" I scoffed in a distasteful way.
I crossed my arms and waited for a reply which took Aaron a few seconds to process my reaction.
"Yes?" He replied sheepishly.
I dropped myself back on my pillow and sighed.
"Aaron... I can't do that. You said it yourself. Impress. I- I can't do that. I'm me and we both know I'm far from impressive."
I looked away and felt useless and unworthy to take such a big role. I mean, of course his mom is an important part of the role, but I had already met her before I found out he was her son.
But his dad... It's like meeting both of his parents, but the fact that he wants to prove something like having a decent and kind girlfriend and him being faithful and settled down with someone is way beyond me.
"I'm sorry. I'm just not fit for the role." I had rolled to the side, facing the window.
"Jes... You are more fit for that role than any person I've ever met. Your kind, sweet, caring, and I've never seen any of my 'whores' -like you call them- look at or take care of my little brother the way you do..."
My heart skipped a beat. I heard a creak on my bed and feel a deep end on my side. I could see his shadow spread on the wall.
"Your also stubborn, lame sometimes, have no manners, beg more than u should, and are clumsy as hell, but I..."
My breathing slowed down and so did his words. My head slowly turned and met his beautiful green pearls.
"...I love those things about you. It's the things that keeps us, us... and I wouldn't have it any other way, Jessica." He spoke with a small smile.
Tears enveloped my eyes and his face became blurry, but I could easily picture our faces getting closer. His mouth brushed mine and we heard someone clear their throat. Aaron jerked off me and I backed away as well, blushing.
We both looked towards the doorway and there was a nurse with a clipboard.
Talk about awkwardness.
"Um... Excuse me if I'm intruding, but no one's allowed to have any mouth-to-mouth contact in her conditions. She has a very contagious virus." She stated, walking to me and with a stoic expression.
"Oh! No. He wasnt- We weren't- Nothing was-" Aaron's words tangled in finding quick excuses for our little attraction moment.
Before he could've finished that sentence, she just said, "Mmhmmm."
