Frantically searching for the other bidders, Ayaka found herself in more panic than she's ever been. She was having a girls night out with Sakiko and Chisato when she got the call that something severe happened, dropping everything as she rushed over to the hospital. She scanned the halls as she made her way to the second-floor waiting room where she found the other three bidders fidgety, waiting for any news to break about their condition. Finally locking eyes with Baba and Ota, both get up from their chair, making their way over to her as Mamoru stays seated, raking his fingers through his hair, cursing at himself. He then gets up and walks passed all of them to leave, most likely making his way to the station.
"Where are they?!" Ayaka questions as Baba stared back at her. He then points to the room behind her as she made her way over to the door window. Looking inside, she saw an unconscious Eisuke with a breathing tube down his throat. She couldn't bare the sight. He was so tough and to see him like this... So fragile... So vulernable... she couldn't take it. Before she knew it, tears began to stream down her face as she turns away before she begins panicking, realizes that Soryu is nowhere to be found.
"Baba?? Where's Soryu?" She asks, becoming frantic until she feels an arm move around her waist, "I'm right here."
She frowns when she sees that he had a bandage wrapped around his body as well as a cast on his arm, though, that didn't stop her from being happy as she throws herself onto him. He winces in pain as she gently smiles at him."Sorry, I'm just happy you're okay," she says as she turns back to the door with a pain expression on her face.
"Ayaka..." Baba says as she lets out a deep sigh.
She turns to see a distraught Baba looking down at her as he's trying to wipe her tears away.
"Baba...Sor... What happened..." She asks as she's staring at both of them, but they quickly look away, not able to keep their eyes locked on hers.
"Aya–"
"Just... tell me... please..."
Soryu lets out a deep sign as he looks at Eisuke and then back to Ayaka before speaking.
"Eisuke and I were on our way back from a meeting we were having with a potential contact for him. Everything went smoothly until after we left... We were ambushed and someone shot up our car. Eisuke got it worse because he was in the driver seat... I have my subordinates looking for the men responsible."
She looks back at the direction of the room Eisuke was in before turning to walk back down to the waiting room until they saw the doctor walking towards them. Ayaka rushes over to him to get his word that Eisuke will be okay.
"Excuse me, Doctor?" She questions as she starts to fidget with her skirt, "Can you tell me what condition he's in?"
She looks down, not able to look the doctor in the eyes. Her eyes were bloodshot red at this point and she couldn't control her tears from continuously falling.
"Critical. We don't know if he's going to make it but as of now, he is in some sort of coma. We're doing all we can to make sure he's comfortable but, it's in his hands now," Doctor Lynn tells her as she felt her heart sink to the pit of her stomach. She takes a deep breath and looks up at the ceiling as if begging for some sort of miracle to take place.
She looks over at the unconscious bidder as Baba holds his arms out to embrace her. Normally she would laugh and push him away but, tonight this was what she needed. He holds her tight until her rage started to get the better of her."This can't be happening... I can't accept this..." She says as she pushes Baba away, punching the wall. She sighs irritably as she begins to mumble to herself, raking her fingers through her long auburn hair. She shook her head violently as she continued to stare blankly, "I TOLD YOU... I TOLD BOTH OF YOU NOT TO GO... I had a bad feeling about this "contact" and I was right... How come you couldn't listen to me... Just this once..."
