"Who is that?" I asked, seeing a dark haired girl walking along side Betty in the school halls. "Betty is giving the new girl a tour today, but I can't remember her name for the life of me." Kevin responded, shrugging his shoulders as I stopped at my locker, exchanging one of my book with another. "What's the social scene like here? Any nightclubs?" This nicely dressed girl asked Betty as Kevin and I approached, Kevin stepped in.

"A strip club called The Hoe-Zone and a tragic gay bar called Innuendo. Friday night's football games, and then tailgate parties at the Mall-Mart parking lot. Saturday night is movie night, you better get there early because we don't have reserved seating in Riverdale. And Sunday night's, thank god for HBO." I watched Kevin stand next to Betty after his little explanation. "Veronica Lodge, this is Kevin Keller, Veronica is new here, Kevin is-" "Gay, thank god. Let's be best friends." Veronica smiled holding her hand out, I raised my eyebrows, waiting for someone to introduce me. "Is it true what they say about your dad?" Kevin asked, oh my god. Betty and I both looked at him like he was crazy, "that he's the devils incarnate?" Veronica paused, "I stand by my father." She added, crossing her arms , "does everyone here know?" She asked, Betty made a face, Veronica rolled her eyes. "Wonderful, ten minutes in and I'm already the Blue Jasmine of Riverdale High!" She stated, walking ahead of us.

Betty shot my brother a look as I rushed forward to greet Veronica. "I'm Jackie, Kevin's sister." I held my hand out, "really? You guys don't look alike." She stated, nonetheless shaking my hand. "Fraternal twins, we're not supposed to." I joked, aside from the Blossom's we're the only twins in town, and it's odd now, since there are no longer Blossom twins, just Cheryl. "Oh, so cool." She smiled.

"Is he your boyfriend?" Veronica asked Betty, after rounding the corner and seeing Archie, saying something about him being the red headed Ansel Elgort. "No we're just friends." "No Arhcie's straight." Betty and Kevin answered at the same time, "Kev." I sighed, shaking my head. "In that case," Veronica nudged Betty's shoulder, "mind putting in a word? I've tried every flavor of boy except orange." Kevin cut in, "actually to clarify, Betty and Archie aren't dating, but they are endgame." He stated, and I nodded in agreement. "Definitely." I smiled, "you should ask him to the semi-formal then." I like this Veronica girl already. "She should, but I heard it might be getting cancelled, because of what happened to Jason." Kevin looked over at Betty as I walked along side them.

"They're gonna tell us at the assembly." He added, "who's Jason? And what happened to him?" Veronica asked, totally out of the loop. We all looked at her, coming slowly to a stop before telling her the horrible fate that was Jason Blossom's life.

I sat next to Jughead, clapping as Cheryl said that they are not cancelling the semi-formal. Although Jug didn't really seem to care, I did, I was looking forward to it. "Cheer up, grumpy." I nudged his shoulder slightly, as he rubbed his hands on the sides of his legs. "Why aren't you sitting with Betty?" He questioned, looking over the crowd, "because I haven't seen you all summer and I missed you." I responded, making him roll his eyes shortly. "How is the novel coming along?" I asked, knowing he's spent most nights at Pop's typing away on his laptop. "Not too bad, something interesting would help." He pointed out, as I looked around the gym, all the students packed in to the bleachers.
