Running. Can't stop. The wind gushing through my ears. Someone's chasing me. Faster. Faster. Tripping. Falling. Sprawling onto the ground. They stand over me.
"I've got you now..."
Screaming.

I wake up screaming. I've had this dream before. Before I can even stop, Micheal is already there, hugging me tight. When it's just the two of us, it's a little easier to forget everything. In these intimate moments, I always want to believe that he's someone else.
We've only kissed once. At our wedding, but even then it was just a small peck. Nothing deep or passionate.
We are only together for companionship. The people we love are just... slightly out of reach.
My father actually came to my wedding. It was... surprising to say the least. He was very angry when my sister wasn't there.
How could I tell him? How could I tell him that the daughter he loved most was out in the past with my true love? He doesn't even know that his ex-wife and twin daughters are witches.
My grandmother was at my wedding. She pulled Micheal aside to talk to him. He hasn't acted the same since.
I push Micheal away. Tears are springing in my eyes. He smiles,"I know it hurts," he saya. "But we did what we had to do."
I smile, and he hugs me once again. "You are my best friend, and I don't want anything to happen to you."
I push him off of me again. "Get out of my bed and get dressed," I say. "We have to go meet Jessie at the coffee shop in an hour."
I may not have mentioned it yet, but we have seperate beds. His idea. We will forever and always be just friends.
We both finish getting ready and head out to the car. "To the coffe shop!" Micheal exclaims as he pulls the car out of the driveway.
Snow was falling in small flurries as we slowly made our way to the empty coffee shop. When we walk in the door, Marion, the lady at the counter, as well as my aunt, nods at us.
Jessie runs up. "Kaitlyn! Micheal!" she exclaims hugging us both. We look at each other and smile. "I've missed you guys! Have you heard fro-"
Micheal cuts her off. "Let's go sit," he says. "Jessie. Can I talk to you alone?"
"Sure." They walk away, and I go to find a table.
I look up at the television. News. How fun. I start eating my muffin and suddenly stop when someone behind me says, "Hello Kaitlyn."
I turn around tensing. No way. It can not possibly be.
"Jessica."
