SAM EXITED THEblack van that Fury had sent her way. The brown-haired woman walked closer towards the end of the dock. As she was about to start boarding the helicarrier, her phone rang. She picked it up, recognizing her father's voice. "Please, tell you didn't sign Fury's contract?" Tony Stark told his daughter.
"Will you be mad if I did?" Sam asked him.
"Are you leveling your options?" Tony asked his daughter. Sam laughed, telling him the answer. "You know, I know you are a grown-up woman who can defend her own ground, but isn't a bad guy from another world a little bit out of your comfort zone? I mean, I think it is safe to stay on your comfort zone. No injuries, no worries." Tony added. "But on the other hand, how are you princess?" Tony asked his daughter.
"I'm good, and just so you know. You are running late. Better start planning an excuse." Sam told her father as she started making her way up the helicarrier. "It seems like my vacation was cut short. Fury came just this morning. SHIELD needs me. Barton had been taken by goldilocks' brother." Sam said, brushing the hair off her face. And by goldilocks I mean, Thor. I haven't seen him in a while. Met him a couple of times. He is nice." Sam said to her father.
"What? My fellow robin hood has been kinapped?" Tony asked his daughter. "How are you taking on the news? Do you need some ice cream? I wouldn't mind getting one on my way there." Tony said to his daughter. Sam laughed lightly, shaking her head.
"I will be okay." Sam mumbled under her breath, making her way to the uncovered roof of the hellicarrier. "I'm still haven't met some of the other people Fury mentioned." Sam said to her father.
"Well, that will be me that's for sure." Tony told his daughter. "And as your father I will recommend you to step out of it even though I know you will not. Your mom was furious at Coulson by putting your in this initiative even though it's not his fault." He explained.
You know, I'm quite excited to meet one in particular." Tony told her.
"Who would it be?" Sam asked him.
"Bruce Banner." Tony answered. Sam held back a small laugh, knowing very well the man that Tony had mentioned. A few years back Sam had met him, before he turned into a big green giant who was actually kind of sweet when you get to know him. It was also the same man that Logan held such resentment against since Fury had sent the mutant to stop Hulk. It ended up with Logan badly beaten and complaining about how Fury sent him to almost get killed.
"You will be both science bros, I presume." Sam said, laughing at his father's words.
"How will you know?" Tony asked her.
"I have a good feeling that you two will." Sam said, wearing a light smirk on her face.
Sam walked closer to the edge of what it seemed to be an aircraft carrier, looking down as the propene turned on, starting to move away from the dock. "You know who will be there too? The man that your grandpa always talked." Tony sighed.
"Who was it?" Sam asked him.
"A man dressed in bright red and blue spandex." Tony told her. Sam let out a small laugh. There was a brief silence, which signaled Sam a sourer conversation. "I don't approve of you getting caught into all this. You know, gods and the Avengers Initiative." He said to her.
"Weren't you asked to join a few years ago, but they said that you didn't play well with other?" Sam asked, smiling at the memory. Her mom and even herself teased him about it for months.
Sam felt a little bit of accomplishment when she heard her father-tired sigh. "Yeah, exactly. Should I try to convince you not to join? because I know that you would not listen to me and still do It." He told her. Tony sometimes doubted sometimes he parenting skills. Especially when it came to Sam's side job as a superhero. He sometimes asked himself if he should stop her from being a superhero. Pepper had also tried countless of times, but it was in vain. The young Stark loved what she did, and he could not stop her from doing it.
