[Talia's Perspective]

For the next few days, I continue to ignore Christian's calls and allow Michael to take care of me. He goes to work and as soon as he gets home, he cooks me dinner and makes love to me like it's the last time he'll ever do it again. Lately, I've been laying around. My body isn't feeling 100 like it used to and the morning sickness doesn't help either....

"What does it say?" Tania asks as she looks over my shoulder at the pregnancy test.

"Wait Nia," I say watching the results and waiting for the positive or negative sign to come into clear view.

"I'm nervous for you," she says and I exhale deeply, "I don't know what the hell I'm going to do if I'm pregnant..especially if it's Michael's. The second I tell Christian Michael could possibly be the father, I can kiss my marriage goodbye."

"I really wish you wouldn't have gotten involved with Michael, Talia. I'm happy that he makes you happy, but you don't seem to be very happy now. You're torn between bestfriends. Your husband's bestfriend, sis. You look like you've seen a ghost. Are you okay?"

I don't say anything. Tania doesn't know everything has went in one ear and out the other. She looks over my shoulder again and gasps, covering her mouth. "Damn," she whispers.

I feel tears welling in my eyes and Tania hugs me tightly. "It'll be okay. Don't cry." I look over at the test again and again and my eyes can't blink away the view of the positive sign resting in the round shape on the test.

"What are you going to do?" - "I-I-I don't know. I really don't know."

Later that night, I rest in the bed and watch tv. My phone rings and it's from an unprogrammed number. "Hello?" I answer. "Finally!" Someone says and I clear my throat, sitting up, "Excuse me?" - "It's me, baby. Christian." My heart beats loudly inside my chest and I really just wanna hang up in his face.

"You haven't heard my voice in so long that it's starting to become unfamiliar I see." I clear my throat again, "Christian, I-" - "Nah baby, it's fine. It's fine that my wife has been away from me for this long and hasn't answered any of my calls. It's fine that I stay up at night, waiting for you to call or maybe even come back home. It's fine that I want this marriage to work out and proceed and it's especially fine that I don't know the whereabouts of my wife."

I sigh, "I've been at Tania's house, Christian." He laughs, "And it's fine that we're lying to each other now too. I've been to Tania's house. You haven't been there not one ime I've went. It's funny how you always seem to have stepped out when I make a visit, but it's fine baby. Everything is fine."

"Christian, please. I haven't been in the mood these past few days and I'm still not in the mood now. I'm at place you won't think of and I want to keep it this way. I don't want to see you right now or even talk to you because I don't know how to handle everything that's going on. When I'm ready to come home, I will. And when I know if I want our marriage anymore, I'll come home. I just can't right now."

Just as Christian speaks, the bedroom door opens and Michael steps in. "Hello beautiful," he smiles and I put my finger up to him, signaling him to hush. He looks confused and stands in front of me.

"I just can't do it right now. Just give me a few more days." - "A few more days? How long is that, Talia? How are things going to work if we can't even sit and talk them out? We've never had this problem, baby. Why let this affect what we have now?"

If only he knew someone has made my feelings change. If only he knew I've grown love for his bestfriend and especially if he knew I could be pregnant with his bestfriend's baby.
