"Remember, you can always come home if you need to, or even get lonely. Trust me, I wouldn't mind at all!" my mom said through the phone.

"Mom....I'm perfectly fine." I sighed.

"Okay, just checking. Stay well! I miss you so much, love you!" she said. I said goodbye, then hung up the phone.

"Talking to your mum?" I heard a voice come from behind me. I shrieked, it startled me. Then, I saw it was Niall, by then having a laughing fit.

"Haha very funny, you nearly gave me a heart attack!" I joked, trying to catch my breath. It had been almost four days since I told Niall that we should take it slow, and as a result of that not much has happened since then. I don't know if I regret it, but Niall has seemed quite taking back by the whole matter. I didn't mean to hurt him, I just have some growing up to do; plus the whole getting over Kyle thing.

"Do you have any plans for today?" he asked me.

I sighed. "You aren't going to give up, are you?"

"Nope." Plain and simple, he wanted me. It made me feel important, yet very scared.

"What do the other boys think about all of this? Hmmm, willing to risk your friendship for us?"

"I suppose so." he shrugged, and pulled at the sleeves of his shirt.

"No..Niall I still need time. We can be friends, but as of now, we can't be anything more." I stood my ground, trying to fight the urge to say that I would be with him. Why, you ask? Well, I don't want this to be a repeat of Kyle and I. Niall seems so much different..

"Okay, fine. But don't expect me to wait for you." he said in a fit or rage. He dragged his feet as he walked away from me, out of the den (okay I know some people don't call it a den..it's basically just a sitting room/family room).

I plumped down onto the couch, and sat thinking for a while. No distractions, just me and my deepest thoughts pondering through my everyday life; reflecting on everything that's going on.

"Lin..I wanted to talk to you about Niall." spoke the voice I could never mistake; I knew it was Harry right away. I ignored him, seeing as I wasn't in a fit state to talk. He proceeded to speak anyways. "Well, we all know that there's something going on between you two. I just wanted you to know that..well Niall, he's a little clueless when it comes to girls. Don't that this the wrong way, because any girl would be lucky to have Niall, but he might say something he doesn't mean to say. Just be aware of that, okay?"

"Haz, it doesn't matter anymore." I sighed.

"Why..?" he looked confused.

"Well, lets just say that Niall and I aren't on speaking terms at the moment."

"What did he do to you Linea? I swear, if he did anything.." he looked steaming mad, and his protective cousin instincts kicked in.

"No, it's not his fault." I muttered.

"Can I ask him?" Haz, cooled off a bit and his rage slowly turned into concern.

"No..definately not. Thanks for trying to help, but that would make everything worse." and it was true. Niall would just think I was childish if I had Hazza talk to him for me. I may have been a little younger, but I could fight my own battles none the less.

"Well, okay. I just want you to be in good hands, okay Styles? Your my baby cousin, and feel more like a sister to me. I just want you to know that." I smiled gently as I pulled my hands out of my jean pockets, and swung them around Harry's back. It was a soft, gentle hug that was mutually given.
