"I'm off!" I yelled before coming out of the house and rushing to the bridge.
It was 6:45pm and the sun was already setting.
The sky was a soft blue, mixed with pink and some yellow. The winter breeze was still apparent even thought it was very close to the beginning of spring.
I walked into a puddle by accident and disgustingly sprayed my legs. I made a sour face but continued to rush.
Finally, I made it.
The beautiful lights across the bridge lit up and a bunch of couples hanging around, cuddling happily and innocently under the now darker blue sky.
I took my time to stroll and look around then decided to go and watch the beautiful ocean.
I walked to the bridge softly and quietly listening to the cars pass by calmly.
I stood in the centre and leaned towards the breath taking scenery. I rested my head in my arms as I softly closed my eyes and listened to the waters and winds intertwine.
"Excuse me...?" I heard suddenly. My eyes sprung open as I turned to my left side and made eye contact with him.
He looked at me while panting. "Yes?"
I replied.
"Are you the Unknown?"
It was him. I knew it.
I unconsciously shook my head. My body unable to control itself.
I'm sorry.
"No..." I said softly.
"Oh" he said, "Thanks anyways."
At that second, he walked past me. Not knowing that the person he was passing by was the person who he names 'The Unknown'.
The person who is bound by above and can never say the words they want too.
"It's me." I whispered at that moment to myself while leaning my head towards my arms again and letting one single tear fall upon my clothing.
"It's you."
