“J-Jabari….” I whispered.

            “Ebony… Who’s Jabari?” Asked Ambrose.

“He was in my dream… He said that we were destined to meet in person and we were going to marry.”

My eyes were floating around the room, looking everywhere that they could without moving my body. It hurt too much to move, I felt like someone had snapped my neck. I was laying on my stomach, so that Vern could stitch up my back easier. There was a beautiful man standing outside of the window, starring in. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of his gorgeous eyes; I knew whom he was but I couldn’t remember his name…

Where did I see those blue eyes? Those bright, happy, excited blue eyes… They were like deep daggers of the bright blue sea… Piercing into your soul, digging into your heart. I wouldn’t look away, I couldn’t, and it was impossible. Ambrose saw me looking at the window; so he looked to and saw the man starring in at me, keeping the gaze.

“Ebony, look away! Now!” He screamed at me, sounding like a little girl.

No matter how much they screamed at me to take my eyes away from this man in the window I could not take my eyes off of him. He was so beautiful, from his pale fair skin, his slender body, bright blue eyes, to his long silky white hair. His eyes were like daggers into my soul. Then all the sudden I felt someone hit me straight across the face. Drawing my attention back to reality, the man in the window barred fangs at Ambrose, the one who hit me with tears falling down his face…

I hadn’t even realized that I was bleeding, a pool of blood was forming around me, I was crying blood. My yellow-golden eyes were pouring out blood. Did that man do this to me? Was he making me cry tears of blood? I looked around the room and everyone either had a weapon in their hands or they had a very strong era around them. Was there going to be a fight…?

A loud, bombing scream sounded all through the room.

“EBONY MORRIS, I AM HERE TO JOIN YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY!” The strange man from outside bombed. All of the sudden he appeared in the room, holding two daggers, daggers the color of the deep dark blue sea where only unknown and dangerous sea life lurks.

Everyone froze, they all starred at me, and I starred at this man. Trying my best to sit up on my own. I glared the man into his eyes; I felt the blood dripping from my skull, from my eyes as well.

“What is you name?” I asked, power in my voice, I do not need to seem weak to this baka.

“My name is Jabari.” He said, starring back into my eyes, which grew wide as he said his name.

“Are you the same Jabari from my dreams?”

            “Yes.”

“The one who said I was destined to marry him?”

Everyone’s eyes went straight to Jabari, starring at him waiting for his answer.

“Yes I am, I am the Jabari who snuck into your peaceful dream and told you that you were meant for me and only me. I will be your servant for forever.” He stated without any fear in his voice. For the hunt; the lust of danger and killing.

“Adelie, Ambrose, tie him up and put him in a cage or something.” I said still keeping the dangerous gaze with Jabari.

“I am no animal my love, I do not need to be kept in a cage.”

“Do as I say Jabari, until we decide what to do about you, if we can trust you or not.”

He nodded, knowing not to defile me. Ambrose and Adelie took him away and stored him in a dungeon they no longer had use for.

Days and nights passed and we all just floated around the house. Me still recovering from what happened on that night, my head, eyes, and back all bleeding had cost me a lot of my blood. My blood was irreplaceable; they couldn’t supplement the blood I had lost. I had to let my blood count back up all on its own, who knows how long that could take.

A week went by, then too weeks; Jabari was getting restless. He started screaming my name, wanting to see me and discuss on what we would do with him. To be honest I don’t know what I will do to him. Will I let him carry on with us, trust this stranger. I can’t even trust my best friend, well my old best friend she betrayed me, I couldn’t really trust anyone anymore.

My heart hurt with a burning sting, why was it that the person I had trusted with everything in my life… Turned her back on me just like everyone else in my life has. The past weeks I’ve been laying in bed and crying. I know I needed to do something; I needed to find the strength to do so first though. I had no idea what the strength would be.

Unknowingly I walked down to the dungeon, where Jabari was being kept. Stopping in front of his cell he got up, and bowed to me.

            “Why?” I asked him.

“What do you mean by why?” He had a questioning face on.

“Why do you stay in this cell? I know deep in my heart that you are stronger then this, you’d be able to break free all on your own…” I looked down while saying this to him.

“I chose to stay to be even the slightest bit close to your presence.” He flashed a smile at me.

            “Jabari…”

“Ebony, I’ll do anything for you. You’re the master of this demon.”

D-demon? That’s what he was; I knew he was inhuman.

“How am I your master? I never agreed to anything of the sorts.”

“A long time ago our signed a blood pact that I would forever serve their blood. You are the only surviving blood member of the Morris blood line.”

“Then why did you say that I was meant to marry you?”

“That’s how we will keep your blood line pure and alive. Every female member chooses a member from the demon bloodline. Though you don’t have a choice, we are the last standing members of our bloods.”

I couldn’t believe all of this, a forced marriage? Why did I have to be the last one…?
