The road to success ( A Dance Moms Story)

Chapter 5

Chapter 5:

My mom came in to my room to wake us up at 5 the next morning. We all rolled over groggily. I try to sit up but felt so tired that I fell back down on the bed. I lay their for 5 mintues then my phone rang. I watched my phone and saw it was Caleb. I sat up imnediately cause both Maddie and Paige fell of the bed. "Sorry" I squeaked out with my hands over my mouth. They both got up and went to the bathroom. I opened the text from Caleb.

Morning beautiful. I'm really lookung forward to seeing you today and hanging out.

I had to get ready. I hopped out of bed and pulled out blue skinny jeans and a green areopostale shirt and my ALDC jacket. I went down for breakfast. My parents were in the kitchen. I greeted them and went to the breakfast nook and started to practice my dance for the competition. After I eat my breakfast i went up to my room and found Paige and Maddie dressing. I hopped in the bath,dressed, flat ironed my hair and put on some make up. When i went downstairs everybody was ready to leave. When we arrived Nia, Kendall, Brooke and Mackenzie was already there. We ran over abd hugged them. We were all super excited about competition. I was still busy talking to the girls when I felt some tickle me. I almost jumped to the sky and all the girls laughed. I turned around to find Caleb. He hugged me and kissed me on thes cheek then hugged all the other girls. Soon after Ms. Abby came on the bus and we all packed our bags and hopped in. I sat next to Calelb on the ride to competition. We talked until I feel asleep on his shoulder. I really like him. We are so alike and yet so different. Its what makes me like him more. I had to find out if he like me so I decided to ask Paige to use a snooping skills and find out for me. Soon we where at the competition. I got dressed for the competition and then got warmed up. Ms. Abby had Nia and Mackenzie and Caleb and I run our duets before going back stage. Ms. Abby reminded Caleb and I that our emotions had to be intense to make the judges believe us. Nia and Mackenzie went first. They had a fun, sassy Acro duet. They were good except they wobbled on a few tricks. When they came off I gave them a hug and went to the wings while the announced our number. "Our next duo is Caleb and Chloe performing Lithium. Please welcome them on stage" The announcer said. Caleb and I walked on stage and took our positions. The music started and we began to move from our tangled web. As I danced I could feel my move flowing through. They were just perfect. I didn't wobble in my turn, my jllumps were nice and high and my technique was perfect. But the best moves were the lifts. Just being in Caleb arms felt right. We were coming to the end of the dance and as Caleb slide me down his body I look into his eyes and see sparks fly and our moves become more powerful. It time for our last move. Caleb hold on to my ankle and pulls me back to his body, my arms fly up in protest but staring into his eyes fall back down to touch his face then I spin away from him. While I spin away he does a back tuck and falls to his knees while I walk of stage. The crowd is silent while Caleb gets up. When he bows the group erupts in applause. I beaming with excitement as I look at my mom and Caleb's mom, Lauren. They are given up a standing ovation even Ms. Abby. Caleb runs off stage and picks me up and spins me round when he put me down he kisses me. I turn a bright red and start to get jumpy out of excitement but Caleb thinks it fear and apologizes. He tries to walk away but Nia and Mackenzie reaches us before he can leave. They pull us into a big hug. We started to walk back to the room but I needed to talk to Caleb before we got there. "Mackenzie, Nia do you mind going a head? I wanna talk to Caleb alone for a bit" I asked them while watching with pleading eyes. They shook their heads and left. Caleb and I are now standing in a quiet corner by ourselves. "I'm so sorry Chole" Caleb said to me "I don't know what came over me but I really like you." My knees buckled so much I thought I was gonna fall. "Its okay if you don't like me too"He continued. Oh my.... Caleb talk to much. I take a step closer and kisses him. Ahhhh....Silence. That kiss was dynamic. There were sparks flying and fire works went off in my head. We stayed kissing for about 30 seconds till we needed to breathe. When stopped kissing Caleb had a big smile on his face.

"We better get back. I bet everyone is waiting for us." I said while pulling him from the corner. We walked back to the room and everybody irrupted. The girls where the first to hug us. Then we hugged our moms. "Chloe that was so awesome. You looked very good" my mom whispered in my ears. Then we went over to Ms. Abby who pulled us into a hug. "You guy dance perfectly. All your moves were on time and perfect and your emotion was so intense. It was just dynamic" Ms. Abby said to us with joy. I was so happy I could burst. Ms. Abby thought our dance was dynamic. But we did have much time to rejoice cause we still had our group dance to do.
