cleo and her friends walked to the small diner in the middle of the city. they walked in and sat in a wide booth, laughing loudly and joking around with each other.
"so, who's the boy" bryce asks her with a cheeky grin on his face.
"i have no idea what you're talking about" she grinned and sipped on the sprite she had ordered when they first walked in.
sarah and joseph talked while bryce and cleo threw straw wrappers at each other.
a loud group of boys walked in and the 4 of them looked over there. cleo and a certain curly haired boy make eye contact. she gives bryce an alarmed look, he knew what she meant and stood up, following her out of the restaurant. their other two friends following close behind.
"wait! cleo?" the confused brown eyed boy yells. she continues walking away, regretting it. she wasn't ready to meet him, she didn't know if she'd ever be ready to meet him.
