Two families, with a hate stronger than love pulling them apart. Nothing has cured their mutiny, but something tragic soon will. It takes life to cure death, and death to cure hate. And with their common losses, the families will soon carry on.

William wakes to a light breaking through his glass bedroom window. The fair sun of Hollywood lights up his room. William begins to get ready, for Liam accepted his invitation at the hour of nine. It was currently a bit before eight. William walks through the long, quiet hallways of his parent's Californian mansion. It seems all too quiet, but the morning quietness is beginning to seem quite familiar, as his parents have been gone on a work trip for the past three days. In the bathroom, William wakes himself up in a warm, long shower. The shower appeared to be too long, or Liam appeared too early, because as William's towel covered self entered his room, Liam was sitting on his bed.

"Someone looks tired," Liam said unenthusiastically to William as he sat on the bed by him.

"Tell me about it," William replied, hinting to Liam that he'd not received many hours of sleep last night.

"Your sleep was interrupted by unpleasant thoughts last night, I take it?" Liam asked William, getting a clue on what occurred.

"Yes, unpleasant thoughts to say the least," William answered not making eye contact with anyone besides his bed sheets, "Unpleasant thoughts about my only true love, who cannot train her heart to love me back,"

"And the name of this beauty?"

"The angel's name is Sophia. Sophia," William repeats, "Even the name rings with a sound of beauty and grace,"

"You cannot stay in this depressed mindset, for it damages the heart even more-" Liam starts to tell William.

"My heart is already damaged so much that no other swan could have an effect of any kind on it," William interrupts.

"Well, on a note of gracious animals, a little birdy told me about a celebration at your dear neighbors mansion this night," Liam tells. "Come with me, and I shall make your swan look like a crow,"

William takes a minute to think about what Liam has proposed.

"I am forbidden from the mansion, as they are forbidden from I," William makes up an excuse to not go to the party, though his statement was true.

"The celebration is of masks, and you will go unnoticed," Liam says, leaving William out of excuses for a moment.

"I shall not be able to tell if the girls are a swan with their face covered by masks," He says.

"True beauty rests in the eyes of the swan," Liam responds, with a smirk.

William agrees to Liam's plan, mainly because he was out of excuses.

When the night fell, the two set off, masks on face and hearts in gear. The music could be heard from the street, as they walked to the mansion they were forbidden from.

When they arrived to the door of the mansion, William and Liam, along with a large group of other masked persons, were greeted in by the family's servants. The smell of fresh food, the sound of celebration music, the feel of love, the sight of happiness all grew.

"See, we're fine!" Liam happily whispers to William.

"Shhh!" He replies, trying to stay unrecognized by the house man and lady.

Hours pass, night falls, and the candle wicks fall low, but it doesn't matter to anyone. Everyone is dancing, eating, partying and enjoying a feeling of happiness. William and Liam make their way over to another section of the large ballroom, by dancing to the music. Liam and William are dancing, when Liam notices an all too familiar look on his dear friends face.
