Alpha Logan (#1 In The Alpha Series)

TWENTY-THREE

Lily:
Logan was carrying Henry's car seat into the house, while I walked slowly holding onto his arm.

I knew some of the pack would be here to greet their future Alpha.

"Are you alright, baby?" Logan asked me before he opened the door. I just nodded.

"I don't want them to hurt him." I whispered, being a new mother I'll be over protective of my male.

"Lily, they will not hurt him. You will be holding him the whole time. No worries." He kissed my forehead and lead me inside. I saw Madison holding Lilith and Laura and Ralph all standing close together in the living room. I saw a few other pack member including Grace, James, and some warriors and Sebastian.

"Everyone give Luna her space while she takes him out of his seat." Logan tells them in a deep voice, one that was dripping with authority. He sat Henry's seat on the floor and I bent down to unbuckle him.

"Come see mommy, Henry." I whisper to him. He made a gurgling sound as I lifted him. His little body scrunched up as I lifted him towards my chest. I saw everyone except Logan take a knee.

Bowing to their young Alpha male. I moved Henry so he was in the crease of my arm and I fixed his onesie that had ruffled up.

"Everyone, meet your future Alpha, Henry Issac Stone." Logan said in a powerful voice. They lifted their heads not looking Logan in the eye. Their faces were too transfixed on the little male in my arms.

"One at a time, you may come meet him. Gently." He growled the last word. Family came first. Ralph bent his head and sniffed him first, then Laura. Madison came next, Followed by Grace and James. Then a couple others. Some were young teenage boys who were fooling around and not taking this seriously.

When one young boy came up he got shoved by the other boy in back of him, who started laughing hysterically; the boy who was shoved nearly bumped into me and Henry. Logan immediately gently put me behind him as he growled at the two young boys.

"How dare you not take this seriously!" Logan roared. Obviously as angry as I am, that these adolescents nearly bumped into our little male. "You are just lucky you didn't hit them or I would have punished you!" Logan is still a tad protective. The two teenagers quickly bowed their heads.

"Yes, Alpha." They said in unison.

"Outside until your parents are finished!" He growled, they quickly scurried to the front porch where they'd wait for their parents.

Logan kept a close eye on whoever was in close proximity of me and Henry. After we went through the whole line of pack members, I could finally relax.

Everyone had left, finally leaving Logan and I alone with Henry.

I was sitting on the couch, head resting on Logans shoulder, he was holding Henry and I had my eyes closed. Finally resting. I sighed and took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry those idiot kids almost hit you two." Logan murmured while gently rubbing Henry's hair.

"I didn't expect it. Neither did you. It's not your fault." I tell him. I could tell my words did nothing to him. He was beating himself up about this.

"Logan, stop beating yourself up about it. We weren't hit so that's fine."

"But it could've been avoided!" He stressed. Henry shuffled in his big arms and made a small whining sound before falling back to sleep again.

"Nothing happened so it's fine. Trust me I was angry too. But we all remember a time of being young a dumb." I pointed out. He sighed and nodded.

"I suppose," he looked down at our son. "But I never almost hurt a neighboring Alphas newborn son!" I could see his anger resurfacing so I quickly took Henry and held him close to my chest.

"Go for a run, cool off, then when you're done acting like this you can come back and hold your son." I get up and walk upstairs to Henry's room. I never heard the door shut, I just felt his presence behind me.

"Are you done?" I snap. He sighed.

"I'm sorry, I don't want to leave you. Vince is still out there, and I don't want to leave you in anyone else's protection besides my own. I'm cool now," He tells me. I sigh and hand Henry to him. He sits down in the rocking chair and I kiss his head and then Henrys'.

"I'll go cook diner," I tell him.

"Mom made some foods already, they're all in containers. You'd only have to heat them." Logan tells me, I nod and walk downstairs.

I looked through the fridge, thinking on what might taste better. Casserole, or steak and potatoes with green beans?

I decided on steak. I put some on two plates and warmed them.

"Logan!" I call to him. Soon I hear him walking into the kitchen and grabbing his plate.

"Henry's in his crib, he sleeps like you." He snorts. I slap him on the arm and he laughs.

"Are you implying that I am lazy Logan Stone?" I raise a eyebrow.

"Is that what they call people like you? Well...then yeah, I am." I gasp and he laughs as he walks into the living room. We plop on the couch and he turns on the tv.

"What to watch..." He thinks out loud.

"You're so weird." I chuckle at him.

"Takes a weirdo to know one." He decided on the Werewolf news channel.

'Breaking news, a rouge pack was just spotted trying to enter the Dark Night pack. The leader of the clan is Vincent Lubin-AH!' The news woman screamed. Soon a man covered in blood, dirt, and sweat broke her neck and pushed her out of her chair. It was only when he looked into the camera could I see who it was. Vince. He smiled a sickening smile and his eyes held nothing but pure evil.

'I got a message for the dear ole Alpha of the Dark Night Pack; you and I may not have had a bright past. But now I have a reason to go after you-you have what's MINE!' He growled slamming his hand on the desk. 'But how does it feel knowing I will forever have what was supposed to be yours?' I knew he was referring to my virginity. Which he took when we were young. 'But I am not pleased the slightest that you have claimed my second chance mate as your true mate. Also, that you had impregnated her, but I think that pup of yours could go motherless. What do you think? Then after I get her back, and she has my pup resting in her belly-is when you will truly feel pain. I'll be coming for her Logan. Till then.' Then the tv goes black.
