Chapter 2
Jose was kind of like me and my brother's cousin. He was 100% Dominican just like us and his family was close friends with my mom. That's why he usually picked us up because even if we did know how to drive we couldn't afford to buy a car.
"So tell me again why couldn't Najee pick ya' up today? .....The bell is going to ring in about 15 minutes and I have to meet my lady friend (wink)"Jose said to my brother.
I so wasn't looking forward to going to school. It's not that I don't have any friends because me and Tito were like the hottest brother and sister in school since we were both extremely attractive and looked almost like twins with our eyes and features.I just wasn't emotionally ready to face my ex, everyday for the past month I've been on the bridge of breaking down in front on the entire school just looking at him because it just brings back all those memories of what could've been.
*Flashback* *3 Months Ago*
"What do you have in mind?"Jorge asked me.
We were trying to figure out what should we do for our 1 year anniversary, and I thought that we should just go to a restaurant.
"Why can't tomorrow night just be a casual night? I mean we've done everything all of the other couples done."I said
"That's just the thing we're not like other couples, we're special Genesis! For crying out loud we were announced as the couple with a future together in the award ceremony!"Jorge pointed out.
'I don't know why when we've been constantly breaking up for the past year' I thought. We just got back together a week ago and he was trying to be all lovey-dovey just because I caught his ass cheating for the 3rd time already. Everyone asks me why am I still with him and I always give them the same answer 'Because I love him', and that was true. I loved Jorge with all my heart and we were going to grow up and get married at 18.
I got up and looked at him, he was perfect all over. Smooth olive toned skin, nice chiseled features, dressed to impress (and he sure did) lips so soft like 2 pink clouds, glossiest black hair that would make even models jealous. I have girls wanting to fight me everyday just because I was with him, but they knew better to not mess with me. Not after I fucked up that girl for tripping me and making me scrap my knee.
"Maybe tomorrow will be that special night?" Jorge said with a glint of lust in his eyes.
"No, I don't think I'm ready" I replied nervously as he let out a big long sigh.
"Shit! You're never fucking ready! Do I look like a selebit?! You know what fuck it we're done! You always say that you're committed to me" I nodded while tears were streaming down my face "Yea? Well prove it, and then you can call me when you're ready!"Jorge yelled as he walked out the house. I was so used to this argument but this time...I had enough.
Angry tears were flowing down my face as I went to open the door.
"You know what I won't call you and don't be expecting us to make up either! I'm done now you can feel free to go fuck around with your little whores!" I screamed at the top of my lungs while he was getting in his car.
"Maybe I will, God knows they look better than you anyway!"Jorge said back as he pulled out of my driveway.
I couldn't believe that he actually broke up with me over sex, I gave my all to him and he chose to end this relationship over that! 'Fuck him' I thought to myself.
*Present*
"Genesis will you wake up and get your fuckin' ass out of my car!" Jose yelled as Tito and him were already walking to the school. I quickly got out and ran to my brother knowing that he was going to our crew.
As we went inside to find our friends we already knew who was there since we heard their voices arguing from the main door.
Prodigy and Destiny were discussing loudly what tasted better, dog food or cat food.
"How the fuck are you gonna' tell me that dog food tastes better! It smells like pure SHIT! While cat food smells like sea food and tastes like it to!" Prodigy yelled to his sister.
"Well obviously you've been smelling some wrong dog food! You already know that there're different types, and the chicken one smells exactly like chicken you piece of shit!"Destiny screamed back to her brother. I should stop this while it was just starting, since people in the hall were looking at my crew like we were crazy, everyone knew we were that's why everybody loved us.
"Alright if ya' fuckin' animals don't stop yelling I'm gonna' beat the shit out of both of ya!"I yelled and shut them right up. "Now let's get to class before we're late!"
"Hell yea! You tell 'em Genie!" Angel cheered as he walked up the hall to us.
"SHUT UP ANGEL!" All of us yelled at him. Jose and Tito were laughing like hell at the expression on his face.
"Damn, rude much? Waz' good Danny. Wassup' Jose. Heyy Genie" Angel said to me, my brother and cousin. Nobody in school knows what my brother is called at home, so that's why I have to call him by his real name (Danny) in school too.
"Nothing you know chillin', Yo guys let's get to class before Ms.R black out on us" Tito told the crew right when Najee walked up to us.
"Hell yea, let's go I already got detention last week from her. Man...that lady needs some dick in her life" Najee said. We all busted out laughing as we walked in to class. All of us had the same schedule that's why we were always together, we were like a family from home, and nobody could separate us.
